You wish he were an option, but sounds too good for Auburn.

[quote]As reported on Sunday, Flight #N719TH departed Jackson-Medgar Wiley Evers International Airport (JAN) and arrived at Auburn University Regional Airport (AUO) Sunday. We do have confirmation that Deion Sanders was on board as first reported by @great_tweeter, per @AuburnPlane LINK ]

Maybe he got too close a look at Auburn.

We had our own power struggle that started after Jackie Sherrill was fired and ended when we jumped to the SEC. 20 years of that shite.

The big booster revolt that got hired Chad Morris still haunts Arkansas. In the long run we got a great AD out of it but that was a brutal two year stretch of football.

I am amazed at the logic of some posters here. What has Sanders shown on Saturday's that would justify a SEC program giving him control? What is his coaching experience. Remember Ron Zook? Great recruiter.

Auburn has gone with several unknowns - Chizik, Harsin are most recent. Neither had significant big conference experience.

I've wondered the same damn thing. I'll be honest and admit I've only watched a snippet of JaxSt bowl game where his son played QB - I haven't seen another second of his on-the-field-coaching prowess, so I have not idea what kind of operation he runs over there.

But how can anyone quantify Sanders accomplishments and think he has what it takes to run an SEC football program? OR that he's a guarantee to come in and immediately boost AU's roster into the top 10 in the country?

What's crazy about it ? It's what most folks already believe anyway

And look what happened. Early success, bump in salary and a big buyout, fired after their coaching abilities were exposed. To do it again with Sanders would be a mistake for the same reasons.

Nobody had a chance with Greene being the sole person on Gogue's selection committee. Many believe it was Freeze's job.

Don't let Deion fool you. He currently coaches at a school that has no clean water. He would have every African American mama dropping them panties when he shows up for a home visit with that orange and blue on.
