I call both offenses a wash since UF's clearly has all kinds of issues, but has the better QB - I'm not buying into the hype on Mauk until I see production on the field.

Hype on Mauk?? If by "hype" you mean uncertainty over an unproven RSF, then yes. he's being hyped.

As for game predictions I'm with the OP, 14-10 coin flip.

Mauk will make some plays with his feet but I Fear his lack of accuracy might lead to a few Turnovers an a MU loss.

But I'm gonna be a homer an pick

The game will be won or lost depending on the play of UF's OLine.

Simple as that.

Florida will stack the box expecting us to primarily run with an untested QB. Mizzou will unleash the Mauk, showcasing why he holds so many high school records. Mizzou has too many offensive weapons to be held under 20. The defense will show why Murphy was 2nd behind Driskel.

You won't score more than 20.
And I hope you all do that.
And lol at your guys expecting HS records to mean much. JB broke all kinds of them.
MO doesn't have more talent than LSU, that is a FACT.

I don't know who will win, but I know our D will hold your guys up. You have not played anyone worth a damn in D. Mauk is a first time starter. Peterson comes to mind.

serious question, what gives you faith that UF will be able to run on Mizzou

Your middle is soft, and KT has incredible instincts. Ask LSU.

Being at home for Mizzou will be big, and let Mauk get comfortable calling plays and setting protections. Just the opposite for Fla's Murphy.

I don't know dude. Players at home... You know family, girlfriends watching, classmates, it can be very distracting for younger players. I think this is a wash for inexperienced players. Tyler Murphy has shown he can handle the road.

I agree that our middle is a bit soft. I'll be surprised if that is the difference in the game. I think we can really key on the run. Your receivers are obviously a little better than UGA's 3rd string, but your QB is no Murray. And your OLine has been suspect so we should be able to disrupt the passing game just in the normal course of business.

I think it comes down to turnovers for us. If we win the turnover battle, we win the game.

24-10 UF

Gator defense forces mutiple turnovers and offense scores a couple TDs off the turnovers.

I'm going with UF by 28-21.

I think the QB issue hurts Mizzou going against what is a VERY tough Florida D. Mizzou scores a TD late in the 4th to make it close- but the Gators ride out a winner.

Like you and 808 said. It's probably said way to often but I really think it's the case in this game. It will come down to penalties and turnovers. Normally I'd go with Florida here, but after Mizzou's start I'm going to be a bit of a homer and say 21-17 Mizzou.

Now that I said that, and everyone predicting a low scoring affair, watch it be something like 44-41.

I don't know if UF's D could give up 44 in 8 quarters. And I know they couldn't score 41 in 8 quarters. Maybe 6 OTs.

Mizzou 41-24

Mizzou gives up points as they go prevent defense in the second half, but they get a special teams touchdown as well as a defensive touchdown. Florida fans walk away wondering what happened to the defense, but are pleased with the team's ability to move the ball against the prevent defense.

If UF scores 20+ they win. Don't see a way that Mizzou will score 20+ on UF's D.
