Mizzou I returns 8 starters on offense including Cook, Burden, Weast and 3 offensive linemen. Defense will be a ? But the offense if anythin* will be even better. Add to that a soft schedule and 10th place looks like a low bar.

10-2 will be the new 11-1 when we go to a 9 game schedule

Sure thing, playing by far the top two teams in the conference every year is a great advantage

Most teams schedules will look about like that. Ole Miss’ schedule is actually one of the easier ones.

They get S Carolina, Kentucky, Florida, Miss St, and Arky. Those are five very winnable games.

Yep, I could see a day when some SEC coach makes an impassioned plea for why his 3-loss team should be in the top 12.

Nope! LSU will never get in if the team goes 9-3. That is going to be the norm for LSU with Kelly as the HC.

Whoever said it was Texas’ fault???

Texas schedule next year is no different than any of the top teams in the country this year.

What does any team’s schedule this year have anything to do with next year? The point is comparing schedules within the same conference, in the same season.

I mean if you can’t tell the difference between these schedules I can’t help you:

Texas: Georgia, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Florida, Kentucky, Miss St, Arkansas, Vanderbilt

Oklahoma: Alabama, Texas, LSU, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Auburn, Missouri, S Carolina

I don't need your help for anything. It just looks like you are building up an excuse to why certain schools will do better than others. If you can't compare this year to next year, then why are you even concerned with next year when you have not seen any of next seasons' teams play yet to say which is more difficult or easier than the other.

What’s the excuse? And for what team? Im simply pointing out some of these schedules are insanely difficult with zero easy weeks (ie Oklahoma and Florida) and others are built in with four or five automatic conference wins (Texas, Tennessee).

Why would one not take in to account schedules when prognosticating teams’ win/loss records?

in considering the Petino factor.. we may win 7 games.

So many were lost a TD or less
BYU by 7
LSU by 3
OM by 7
Bama by 3
Miss State by 4

I'm thinking 6-7 wins this next season, which will be enough for Pittman to hand on another year

I actually have to agree with this. So much was said about how bad the big12 was as compared to the sec but here we have this stupid thread.

Good grief.

So, you assigned a predicted win/loss for each team and then used that extremely subjective data to rank how hard a team's schedule is and treat it as objective?

As for your predicted won/loss conference records, UGA has not lost a single regular season conference game in 3 years and you have them losing two next year. And OU is going to lose more conference games than both Ole Miss and Auburn.

Good on you for trying to come up with a ranking, but predicting each teams win/loss and then using those "results" to assign each teams strength of schedule is extremely flawed.

That is what I'm saying. I know how hard the SEC is, but now we are a lock to win the SEC regular season. lol

No blame was assigned so this makes no sense. It was a simple assessment of schedule difficulty.

The ONLY team that plays the top two teams every year is Auburn. You can sit down sir.

It will still be more difficult than the Big 12… no one said it wouldn’t be.

But there were 5 SEC schools that didn’t make a bowl game this year…. Arky, UF, Vandy, SC, and MSU. Texas gets four of those five next year.

Those are just the facts.

I realized Texas had an easy conference schedule when I first looked at who each school was playing next year. But, this is crazy. There is a big difference in S.O.S.

I know you're a Texas grad, but also a lifelong LSU fan. There's no way you can honestly look at Texas's schedule and not realize that someone gifted them a cupcake schedule.
