I’m sure he was given assurances by the staff he was to be the starter and that Chambliss’ situation wasn’t looking great.

Now that Chambliss has the injunction, I expect he will start as he is a good QB and proven commodity.

My gut says Knight unenrolls and somehow ends up playing elsewhere. Maybe he stays and try’s to split time but that seems unlikely in this day and age.

This whole situation is bad for CFB but it is still interesting nonetheless.

It was never a secret that Ole Miss wanted Chambliss to return. If he wants to go, that's fine but he's likely being paid to stay.

He should have stayed at Auburn but chased money instead. I doubt he improved his bank account very much.

Week before baseball starts… basketball isn’t in post season yet.. and football is out.

This is sort of the only interesting thing going on in college sports at the moment.

Not shocking we are talking about this

The Transfer Portal is closed and he's not a graduate.

If he leaves he has to sit out a year.

If he finds him an OM judge he might be able to parlay 7 years out of it.

Me: I'll check the Rant real quick while I eat my ChickFilA. The LSU posters have to be doing better than they were yesterday.

There’s so much irony in this statement that I don’t even know where to start.

Never change, Aggie

I’m more worried about Hasan Longstreet. Knight is home where he always wanted to play. Longstreet has to be pissed he got recruited over after signing to be the starter. That locker room is gonna be a mess.

It’s been fairly clear throughout the process that we wanted Chambliss to stay. Deuce made his decision knowing the risk. Reports at the time suggested Deuce was fine being a backup for a year behind Trinidad. Easily could’ve changed now that he’s confirmed back, but we didn’t lie to the kid. This has been very public the entire time.

Chambliss is on a one year loaner. Knight should stick around, learn the offense and become the starter the next season. From everything I've read about him, he's solid.

Well, at least until he files for a TRO and/or sues the NCAA
