Oklahoma, whatever the final record, overall and conference, will make me proud.

Am not looking forward to the Sooners playing LSU but at least Joe Burrow won't be QBing for the tigers.

A handful of other games are going to give BV's kids all they can handle.

saxet at some point in the season is going to lay a big fat one on the sidewalk but that will be the upset loss.

Whorns will absolutely lose to Georgia.

I think Sark, Ewers and company will choke away another RRS.

Go Sooners!

This is a "save image as" post.

I have a feeling this will come in handy as the season draws closer. Thank you.

It is funny in that we thought the Big XII showed favoritism towards Texas when in 2011 during a schedule adjustment... all the Big XII teams had to make a return to a place where they had to play a road game in '10...(except for Texas of course).

OU had to go to Stillwater twice in a row in '10 and '11. And as another example... OSU had to go to Austin twice in a row in '10 and '11.

But this SEC schedule is ridiculously imbalanced between OU and Texas. Other than Georgia... Texas doesn't play a team that went better than 7-6 last year. Meanwhile OU gets an 11-1 Bama team, LSU, Ole Miss and Mizzou that were all 10-2. As well as Tennessee and Tennessee who was a 9 win team. Just one mediocre team in South Carolina.

The Big XII wouldn't have even done something like THAT for Texas.

OU is massively under the radar this year. The roster top to bottom outside of the OL is very experienced and has elite talent everywhere. QB has immense talent and only needs to be serviceable with the RB annd WR room. Even the OL isn’t as bad as OU has had in years past and still always manages to put together a decent group. OU hasn’t had a “bad” OL since 2012 and puts a guy in the first round almost yearly. OU can easily win 10-11 games with the defensive roster Venables has, it’s probably more talented than his defenses at Clemson.

Is OU's defensive roster in 2024 really that much better than the one they had in 2023? Because the 2023 OU defense did not fare well when they weren't playing G5 teams. When I watched OU last season, I thought they looked noticeably small on defense.

Maybe they'll be great this year, but I have my doubts.

Of course we are. And after the worst stretch in Texas football history, 2023 saw them complete a better season than any A&M football season you have ever and will ever see in your entire pathetic life

Yall make this wayyyyyyy too easy lol

The one game and then back to the lesser is not a true gauge. You have to run the gamut first and then run your mouth. See what you look like at seasons end.
Thats weird. How come Texas had a tougher than all but 2 sec teams last year if that were the case?

Based on what? OU's total defense was ranked 49th last year and their D-line is not in the same ballpark as those Clemson D-lines.

Hold on to that Bama win, Horn fan. Its the only thing Texas has done in the last decade worth bragging about.

I’m talking based on talent alone. OUs DL and back 7 is probably the most talented on paper hes coached or close to it. Venables added a ton of size in the transfer portal and last years recruiting class. Starting DTs are all 300 lbs and the younger guys are 290-300+ OU hasn’t had size like this at DL or the backfield since Venables was last at OU.

Maybe so, but I have a hard time believing this years OU defense is on par with some of those championship Clemson defenses that produced a lot of draft picks.

In 2019 alone they had all 4 of their D-lineman drafted and a DB drafted in the 1st 4 rounds.

They’re both going 10-3.

Texas knew their first year in the SEC would would make or break them, so they paid for the easiest schedule money could buy. It’s fairly obvious.

Oklahoma will get by, they’re better than most people are predicting. But that schedule is absolutely brutal.
