Ed's buyout:

Currently: about $6 million

End of 2018: a little over $5 million

End of 2019: a little over $2.5 million

End of 2020: a little over $1 million

End of 2021: 0

This is all pretty much spot on. This LSU team is a grab bag -- no one knows much about who they are. The only given is that the D will be nasty. Beyond that, only talent and question marks abound.

Armydude,
I hope you are right. Coach O is fun and I hope he sticks around. I was really impressed with the fight in that team last year that brought LSU back against AU. I know Gus took his foot off the gas but he should have been able to take his foot off the gas and get away with it. Coach O and Ensminger have reputations for a reason though and I think the consensus is that it's more likely that the offense won't have a pulse than it is that they will. I hope I'm wrong about O (I'm DEFINITELY not wrong about Ensminger)...but they both appear to be horrible hires that should get the AD fired as it would at any SEC school.

6-6 and that 3 L stretch against UGA, MSU, and Bama might be ugly.

4-5 losses. 2-3 losses probably gets O a raise and extension.

2 losses or less with this schedule and so many unknowns on offense, and I'd happily give O a one year extension and small pay bump. 3-5 losses, no changes to anything. 6+ losses, clean house.

A 2 loss season for LSU this year would be a pretty stout achievement.

LSU is generally bad when they're supposed to be good, so I'll guess 5 wins..

Just enough for the coonasses to come up with another excuse to drag out the inevitable.

No excuses there. We were not dominant for that game, or the Troy game.

LSU hasn't been "bad" for 20 years.
