Subjectively, Shaw played better.

Without question he was better than Manziel. The Browns are stuck with a shite owner scam artist who thinks he knows football talent. He couldn’t find his arse from a hole in the wall.

You don't do CPR if the heart is working, so that's about as serious as a health situation gets.

Don't know why I didn't post this one earlier...

Back when we were good. Shaw threw, ran and caught a TD that day.

This one is a Steve Spurrier special...

The 2013 "Shaw-Shank Redemption" game is one of my favorite gamecock football games of all time. I listened to the 4th quarter on siriusXm radio in my truck in the middle of the Utah desert.

Forever the sound of the clank on that FG attempt will resonate in my ears. What a kick to the nuts that game was.

Could have been a panic attack of some type caused by dehydration, technical name of vasovagal response

I had that crap off and on for 22 years and it finally went away after I stopped smoking

it'll make you think you're dying

I had to walk to the front of an airplane once and ask the ladies if I could lay in the floor near the cockpit

had to pull over on side of the interstate once and lay on the ground

first one ever I was only 27-28 years old and just got done on a set of squats in the weight room. Scared to death, thought I was dying. ETA: like the dumbshit I am, I didn't START smoking until age 26

Prayer for Connor

hope he is okay. I loved how tough he was. He could just EAT punishment that would send lesser men off the field and he'd keep performing.

Preach. My guy went undefeated at home as a starter. That's incredibly difficult to do.

This. He played at a time when the SEC had a lot of big names in the SEC. But as you mentioned, he was undefeated at home and regularly beat ranked UGA, UF, UT, and Clemson teams and was u defeated in bowl games.

He was also the heir to Stephen Garcia, who is the most well known of Spurrier’s Carolina QBs because he’s a world class partier

People remember the kick. Most, outside of SC and Mizzou fans, may have forgotten that Mizzou was killing us. Shaw didnt start due to an illness and didnt come on until very late to get us back into that game. People may also forget him throwing a TD pass on a 4th in goal from like the 20. I can’t remember if that was in OT or late in the 4th.

It was late in the 4th to send it to OT, IIRC.

Ultimately, it was all for naught. Mizzou was really good that year, and we needed them to drop to aTm in order to go to Atlanta. The one time I pull for Johnny Manziel, he left me disappointed.
