"Power Five Conference Commissioner Salaries: According to 2014 tax forms obtained by Jon Solomon of CBS, Power Five conference commissioners made the following; Larry Scott (Pac-12) – $3.5 million, Jim Delany (Big 10) – $3.4 million, Bob Bowlsby (Big 12) – $2.5 million, Mike Slive (SEC) – $2.1 million, and John Swofford (ACC) – $2.1 million."

From Football Scoop by way of CBS.
Is it just me or is Mike Slive a steal at 2.1 vs the others.

As much as I hate the motherfricker, Delaney probably makes his money worth in the agenda he pushes for the B1G.

Slive is under paid for what he's done.

Then your hormonal patooty is playing tricks upon you once again .... or either you are a closet whiney liker.

There is no justification for Delaney ever being worth more money, not by any metric, than was Mike Slive.

State your case .... name one.

Does that include income they earned possibly not associated with their jobs such as investments? Not sure how relevant this is without that distinction?

Delaney is considered the most powerful commissioner in college.

Nowhere did I say that. I said he makes his money worth and that Slive was underpaid. Your reading comprehension failing you in your old age?

That he gets paid what he deserves? Who heads up every, single anti-SEC agenda in the NCAA? And manages to unite the PAC with the B1G in the process?

First of all ... Slive is not underpaid at $2.1 million. That's ridiculous.

Secondly .... if a man is being paid more than $1 million more to overcome his better, yet never does/did, then he is, by default, overpaid.

He makes less than every single football HC in the SEC (with Mason's 2015 estimated average being 2.25 million). Considering the things he's done in his tenure which include but is not exclusive to ushering in the SEC Network and being a guiding hand in making the SEC the football conference that it is, he's underpaid.

This is true, but I am sure it wasn't hard to convince ESPN that the SEC needed it's own network, especially after all it had achieved the previous decade. Slive capitalized off of what Roy Kramer started. And Kramer was making about $300,000 a year in the 90s.

I think this has more to do with the Universities themselves. There were some ballsy moves made during rough economic times that paid off.

He was paid less because he produces nothing.

He's a manager, an overseer, not a revenue generator. Coaches are revenue producers.

Who makes more money .... NFL Owners and Coaches or the Commissioner, Roger Giddell?

Delaney is overpaid. He has the B1G hoodwinked. He consistently manages to oversee an inferior product yet he is the highest paid in his field.

It's nuts. The B1G is pathetic for doing so. Hell, the ACC commish welds more power than does Delaney. Swofford.

I didn't realize Slive invented instant replay in CFB, jump started the whole conference realignment, and created the first conference network. But you're right, he is a really great coach who has recruited well and won multiple NC's for his conference, so he should be number one.

I know you are kind of being a dick, but I kind of agree with you. Slive didn't do shite that was innovative with the SEC. Everything the SEC schools accomplished was pretty much internal under his role as commish. Slive just kind of sat back and said, "Oh something is happening here". As I said before, he eventually capitalized on what Kramer started.

The B1G has the SEC on instant replay and conference network, but the SEC was the father of conference realignment/divisions and ultimately is the reason we have a playoff now.

I know Goodell makes more than any coach. He reportedly made around $44 million last year.

So not the best argument. Goodell has a 7 year $300 million deal. I'm certain no coach gets paid that much.
