I'll disagree with you there.

Pulled pork was what God intended barbecue to be. You do put sauce on it and you do put pickles on a pulled pork sandwich. The sauce should be bullseye original or sweet baby rays. Not some vinegar or mustard abomination some of you try to pass off as barbecue sauce.
Eh, good BBQ is good BBQ.
Agree about the pickles, but there's always room for brisket at the grill.

Most of the food southerners like is really bad.
If Mizzou doesn't fit the "culture" of the league, so be it. All the better, in fact.
Calling someone "baw" is one of the stupidest things I've ever heard.
With that being said, I will say something good: As far as the sports themselves, this league is head and shoulders above the Big 12 and every other conference. So many sports are SEC-dominated. Just off the top of my head, and there are more:
Football
Men's basketball (this season wasn't a fluke)
Baseball
Softball
Gymnastics

College football was better when the players
were at least pretending to be students.

I really want everyone to go back to their conferences. I hate the new landscape. All the Big 12 teams here can go home, I want the PAC 12 to go home, I want Maryland back in the ACC, I want Nebraska back in the Big 12, I want Syracuse, Pitt & Boston College back in the Big East.. would be nice.

I want a time-travel redo where someone smart is at the NCAA.
They understand there is too much money not to share with athletes, so in 1995 they institute a stipend for all athletes based on revenue.
Besides, room, board, and education, every athlete gets 2k a month spending money.
See how that plays out. (Yeah, some asshat, greedy parent and/or the same lawyer would probably F that up too)
Have regional conferences for nonrevenue sports. So you're not sending Women's rowing team 3 states away for games. Would save a ton in travel costs.
Football and men's basketball can be in more national or spread out conferences.

I applaud Ole Miss for being willing to change their mascot. I was born in MS and have much family there but very few of us cared for the university bc of the racist connotations. When I heard of the change a few years ago, I chose to drop the disdain I had for them.
You obviously don’t know shite about Ole Miss and the history of the SEC.

The absence of any kind of overall commissioner taking into account the interests of all teams from around the country is what got us here. It’s two conferences negotiating with networks and stripping all the major assets from the other conferences.
I liked the old Big 12. Good, competitive conference. Massively underpaid. Stripped of its best parts.
Football will likely continue to concentrate power in the two conferences. I hope they don’t get basketball too.

I don’t really agree with this, but…
There was a time when fans got the satisfaction of a championship with just a conference championship, which you don’t really get now.
It’s really hard to relate to it now. But without the ability of settling it on the field, you could settle for the satisfaction of a conference championship.

Probably not an unpopular opinion for old school Horns fans, but am saying it anyway… Austin was great in the 1980s. It has totally lost its soul since then, kind of like a cross between Houston and LA, and it’s a real freaking urban hassle to visit now.
And what the frick has happened to Marfa, Texas? It was a once cool, classic West Texas town. It’s now a pretentious rich hipster playground full of bad modern art galleries.
The sun is rising here in NC. Will now venture out and yell at clouds…

The funny angle is that the black bear indigenous to Mississippi is officially known as the Louisiana black bear. So they are the University of Mississippi Louisiana Black Bears.
