It won't take long for you to figure out the deal with Texas fans. Their whole existence consists of one perpetual D*** measuring contest.
This is the best summary. Texas fans in aggregate are fairly mediocre people. The best way to describe the entire concept is pretty good but not excellent.
The academic environment is respectable but rungs below truly elite universities, which is not surprising considering it is a state school. If you want to go there, you can go there either through the front door or easy backdoor hurdles like the CAP program.
Austin as a city is fun and nice and scenic but pretty parochial and regional compared to global cities like Dallas or Houston much less global centers of excellence.
The school derives much of its athletic hubris from accomplishments a half century ago.
Despite all of the above, you will rarely find a group of folks more proud of themselves and more in need of telling everyone all they have accomplished.
I think it is because they aren't truly great at anything that they try to convince others 24/7 that they really deserve respect and are some sort of special institution (which it is not).
I do think this is changing as most of the student body is changing very quickly. Less bubbas from Tyler, Tx braying on about Darrell Royal and more high acheiving minority kids who don't really give a crap about the place except that it will get them a decent job at an affordable tuition rate.

I'm married to a Longhorn. I assure you the arrogance is real.

Get it in this year, Texas fans aren’t going to have a lot to be proud about in the coming years.

This is just getting sad. I can't imagine writing some weird arse story about my nephew and a dildo for upvotes, never change Aggy.
I intentionally made it weird and unbelievable. It’s called a joke. Not everything is is for “upvotes” on a website. Lighten the frick up

I’ve had loser tshirt fans give me a hard time, but luckily all the horns I personally know are good people

I know it sound arrogant, but our "Texas Welcomes the SEC" video, where we have students do various SEC cheers, is sure to be really good.

Wrong. The Aggies produce a lot of military men. All Texas turns out are Constitutional Rights hating figs.

Most of their “fans” are arrogant about things they remember their fathers telling them about, before they left the trailer and struck out on their own delivering dominoes
90% of their actual alumni are pink haired school counselors or social workers that burn flags and hate everything America stands for.
The other 10% are full of bravado but they cower and become sniveling pansies when any real adversity hits them
That’s a very honest assessment

Booooom! Down goes number 1.
None of us ever heard off Johnny Manziel, who wasn't Johnny Football until after that game. Coming into BDS to play the number one team with a 3 star freshman QB no one ever heard of was definitely a recipe for overconfidence. On the other hand we did end up winning the natty that year.

My two experiences around them were this
Both games (basketball, baseball) their fans shouted out towards us as we were minding our own business. I've had this happen countless times at other venues. Only donghorn did this while small children were standing or walking with me.
Ironically, the first time, the two young children with me were Longhorn fans that weren't wearing any team gear.
Needless to say, they learned how their peers act very quickly and were not impressed one bit
Leave the kids alone you classless pieces of trash

LSU folks have been aggified.

I'll bite. Pretty harmless, but to a man, every UT fan that I have gotten to know will swear up and down they have never paid a player (pre NIL). At best, they may have admitted to some rogue booster but not common at all. In the SEC, we all kind of give each other shite about other schools paying players but generally laughing it off and understanding we're all playing the same game. But they were convinced that they had none of that going on just because, paraphrasing, "We just don't think we need to do that. UT football and Austin sells itself."

UT is the #43 ranked university in the world.
TAMU just peaked at #67 in the US

Someone should've warned Elon Musk & the other 9 billionaires that have set up shop in the area.
Btw, is Olive Garden still the top rated spot in BCS or has Dixie Chicken surpassed them?

And as many of their 55 NC's in the last 25 years, but the real question is whether UT wins a 5th NC in football before you win your first in 100 years from any big 3 men's sport.

More rare than a group of folks that fabricates things they've never accomplished? That's rich.. or is it "We Are Rich!"?

How many yell leaders with Bubba overalls has your beloved pasture sent to State Farm's agent in training program each year?
It would be scary to see this delusional kuntz self reporting on the lifelong achievements and glory at the pinnacle of higher education aka Texas Agricultural & Mechanical University.

"I don't know what's worse, LSU openly ducking us or LSU being so afraid of some germs that they'd vote to not play us."
"Think about it, they're a broke university and they gave up a home game against the most popular university in the world. Comically scared."
It's a French thing.
They can't help it.
Ok ok... I toned it down some. Sheesh !

Riiiight. During the Mack Brown years, their star players all drove brand new Tahoes from the same dealer (Mack Haik)
They were sold to the players for $1 which made it "legal"

Big 3 Men's sports:
Football- Blue Blood 4 NC's #6 all time wins
Baseball- Blue Blood 6 NC's #1 all time wins
Basketball- #13 all time wins #11 NCAA Tourney appearances
All that and only 1 NC in football (none in basketball) since 1970
In football, Texas has had 1 NC in since 1970
In baseball, not bad, but none in almost 20 years
In basketball, none
Congrats on being an Olympic sports program though
The rest of your "information" is just fluff that I guess makes you feel better. A Texas degree may be worth something in Texas, but elsewhere, not so much.
Like I said, All hat and no cattle.
But we are laughing at you.
ETA- Like I have said, 2 of my cousins are Texas-Exes and I am not anti-Longhorn. I am glad Texas and Oklahoma have joined the SEC but y'all are going to have to develop thicker skin.

Bama fans are super sensitive about it too.
Don't dare leave that stadium happy after a win or some Karen will say you have "no class".
Wasn't that the time that Alabama won another 2 national titles back to back (2011-2012)?

Lot of discounting in that post, but this was your best... safe to say you don't work in a specialized field or desire executive corporate advancement.
