We all agree Auburn has the best Top 4-5, right?

Frank Thomas (MLB HOF)
Bo Jackson (GOAT Athlete)
Josh Donaldson (MLB MVP)
Tim Hudson (MLB HOF)
David Ross (WS Champion)

HM: Casey Mize (MLB #1 pick)

I must of missed Huddy’s HOF induction. What year was he inducted?

You also must “of” missed that English class where they discussed the part where “must’ve” means “must have” instead of “must of”.

He will be in the HOF when he qualifies for the amount of years retired to be on the ballot.

Ok

Another question, how many MLB games has Casey Mize played? Since he’s HM and all.

I like Tim Hudson, but there is no way in hell he even sniffs the HOF.

No way Huddy’s a HOF lock and Mize hasn’t even played in the minors yet

post is bad and you should feel bad

Ignoring the ignorant statement about Hudson making the HOF, I'd give Gregg Olson the nod over Ross

Jake Peavy signed with Auburn but was drafted and signed out of high school. Had he attended, he probably would have been a top-5 pick three years later.

I actually didn't know that. I was a big fan of Peavy when he was with the Padres.

But I'm sure every SEC school has had some big names signed that ended up getting drafted high snd skipping college.
I remember for the class of 2012 Auburn had signed both David Dahl (OF, Rockies) and Addison Russell (SS, Cubs) but both got drafted back to back in the 1st round, 10th and 11th respectively. Didn't take either long to make the show. Russell has already been an All-Star and if Dahl can ever stay healthy he could be a star. Having those two players together for 3 yrs would have been program changing,

Most schools have tons of guys like that. Josh Beckett & Clayton Kershaw we’re both Aggie Commits.

Long story short, I played some juco baseball in LA...Lower Alabama that is, from 01-03. I had a few teammates from Mobile/Semmes area that were buddies with him all growing up. When i got to fall camp in 01, those dudes were going on and on about this Jake Peavy cat who was pitching for the Mobile BayBears, talking about how good he was going to be...

...fast forward a decade and a half, and a few HOF-caliber years later for Peavy, and all those boys were spot on.

Polk was an assistant coach at Miami of Florida and as such he was familiar w/recruiting there.

Yes, Palmeiro got busted once for steroids but I am inclined to believe his story that he did not knowingly use them. Why, you ask?
Well he passed every other test he was ever given, his body never bulked up like a Bonds, he was at the end of his career, he had previously stated on the record that he did not use them and I don’t believe he was lying when he said that. He also passed a polygraph test (which I know are not perfect).
So in this instance I think he is being truthful that he did not deliberately take them to cheat the system.
Now he has paid the price for that one failure but he has continued to say the same thing to this day. I am not asking for sympathy for him but he has been hung out to dry like no one else since the Black Sox scandal in 1919.

I for one believe he should be in the HOF because his career was not steroid enhanced. As for Jose Canseco, how can you believe anything he says.

For as elite as Peavy's top seasons were, I was fricking shocked when I looked up his stats just now and saw he only has 156 career wins.
