I am going to go old school

LSU 21-20 1969. 1st play halfback pass Davis to Hamilton 80 yd TD.

Bevan blocks the extra point . Tigers beat Pat Sullivan.

My first TIger Stadium experience. . I was 8 . Next year wasn’t too shabby either. So many great Auburn game memories since. It’s hard to count.

Good ole Steve Ensminger was the OC for that juggernaut offense in ‘03. He managed to almost break into the 100’s in total offensive efficiency with only 3 future first rounders in the backfield.

Favorite memory is a tie: Every time LSU won.

Least favorite memory is also a tie: Every time LSU lost.

Favorite: Earthquake game

Less favorite: Cigar game. I wanted to jump in TV and strangle tubberville. He was a good coach but such as a-hole. Could you see he and Saban going at it again now?

My first game in tiger stadium was auburn in 97. Cecil Collins ran for over 200 and we still lost on bad playcalling.

Favorite has to be last year’s win. Not sure LSU ever needed a big win as much as they did at that point. It was pure courage under fire.

Favorite, 1994 interception game.

Same here. I remember some Auburn fans printed up tshirts saying "Throw it again, Curley!"

Worst: the 95 game. I've never been so angry during this series. You had the whistle incident, where some LSU fan blew a whistle behind Pat Nix in the end zone and he stopped thinking play had ended, and officials didn't penalize LSU for it. Even the frickin' LSU radio crew heard it, it was so loud. It cost us a safety.

LINK

I think this is also the game where an AU receiver clearly caught a touchdown in the endzone, and the ref called it out of bounds, and the ESPN sideline guy actually went over with the camera and showed the deep cleat indention well within the endzone. The ESPN guys were wondering aloud how the hell the ref could call it like that. If we had instant replay back then, that's a touchdown.

I was at that game and still remember how loud the stadium was on that play. It was pretty cool to see Cam riding his scooter that night.

Fav-Earthquake Game. Hard to explain how good of a Defensive game that was and how that place exploded when LSU scored. Hodson to James...good memories.

Least Fav...watching that missing link Cam carry P. Peterson into the endzone. Greatest one year college career ever.

Favorite game 2001, the Damon Duval band scuffle. That game was pushed back to December because of 9/11. The winner went to Atlanta for the SEC Championship. This was also the beginning of the Tiger Stadium streak against Auburn, because 2 years prior was the cigar game. I just remember that a huge portion of LSU fans had their own cigars for after that win.

Least Fav: 2006. A friend of mine was in grad school at AU, and got some of us some student tickets as we crashed at his place for the weekend. Went there a day or two early too to soak in the town. Went to some shithole bars, played golf at a pretty crappy golf course on Friday, and the Hooters girls wouldn't even sing happy birthday to me because of my LSU hat. Anyway, it was a day game in September, pretty hot, and the tailgaiting was not much. We found a spot in the student section, that was unfortunately right in front of the greek section. I wore a pretty neutral gray LSU shirt, but my buddy sitting next to me at a bright gold shirt that said on the front "Auburn Sucks" and on the back "Tubberville Swallows". Needless to say we got hit with full water bottles, chili dogs, cups and all kinds of shite the whole game. You turn around to see who the hell threw something at you and the whole student section was raising their hand and pointing at themselves. I wanted to kill my buddy. The eagle did come right over us pretty low though, so that was cool.

The game went on and everyone knows the waived off interference call that happened right in front of us in the student section endzone. As I walked out of that place, fists clinched, and pissed at the world by that point, I was just waiting for some Auburn prick to say anything negative to me so I could knock his teeth in. The only thing anybody did was come up and say "man, what a game. Y'all's team was tough as hell. You're gonna have a good team the rest of the year." I've got to give it to you Aubies, y'all aren't assholes after a good win like Bama, or worst of all Arkansas. Must have learned your lesson after that cigar stunt. Cheers, and here's to another good game on Saturday.
