Divisions too lopsided with 5 of the big 6 in one division

Not to mention, it would suck to trade yearly games with AU and UF for Vandy, and Mizzou.

I didn't think anything was wrong with 12. Texas AM was a good pickup but Missouri not so much. The back to back east titles was a fluke. I had several conversations with numerous ppl on how Missouri was The luckiest team that I have ever seen. It seemed like the rest of the eastern teams were giving it to them. If I have to pick up teams 15 and 16, I would have to pick Florida State in the east. Oklahoma in the west. I hope the conference doesn't expand anymore.

If the SEC shuffles things, @CoachGusMalzahn wouldn't be opposed to Auburn moving to the East. "I think there will be discussion on that."

From Chris Low with ESPN

Low reporting that Gus said it does not mean it's happening ... not by a long shot. But I feel ya ... it would be good if it happened.

But I thought the east teams were all at the bottom. #8-14. The west is so tough. Wouldn't this balance it???

Who would you replace them with in a 7 team division?

You're on the wrong board.

Damnit, that was an interception by Peterson, and Auburn should of been flagged for PI.

Are we going for preserving traditional rivalries or strength of team?

Arkansas lost 4 other games that season so it's not like the refs cost them anything.

If you're bitching about refs, in a game that long ago, why would that matter?

Well I want to say Arkansas, but that takes away from the historical part. Don't get me wrong I love the Ole Miss game every year and I think they're our actual rival, but if you're going for a super division of the strongest teams then I think Arkansas is the next team up.

Yeah, Gus has less than no say in the matter. Hell, Saban would have no say, so you can imagine a coach hovering over the hot seat is a non-entity in such a discussion.

The University President is the one who would agree to this move . They are the ones who sign off or push agendas.

The only way I see this happening is if auburn and Bama go to the east. Tenn and Mizzou to the west to even out the transition. This would also keep all the historic rivalries in tact. The Lsu Bama game would become a transitional rivalry like Florida Bama is now.
