That’s because, at the end of the day, no one on this board has concrete proof of what actually happened. Much of what gets posted is simply a repetition of what someone else has said, who may not have any firsthand evidence either.
I’m certainly not going to treat every claim as fact without something to substantiate it. If someone actually had concrete proof to support their claims, I imagine it would be posted pretty quickly. Until then, I think it’s fair to take all of these reports with a healthy dose of skepticism—including anything I may say, since I don’t have firsthand proof either.

I don't think the SEC is actually accusing LSU of breaking any rules but instead indicating they were going to break a long standing rule against playing players who have had more than a flirtation with the NFL. LSUs insisting that they would do so is, according to the SEC, a violation of the conferences freedom to associate....to have an association with another entity...or to not be forced to associate its brand with conduct that has never been acceptable and the conference and all of its members unanimously agreed to recently. The conference is claiming that Kiffin and LSU "talked" players into suing the NCAA for eligibility and that is the gist of the situation....its not against any rule to fart on a crowded elevator but if you do so and the other people on the elevator agree you oughtn to have done so you are going to face at least a sideways glance...and you don't a double digit brand value you are charged with maintaining.

LSU fans (and leadership) seem to be under the impression that they have a right to be in the SEC, regardless of the opinions of the other member institutions.
LSU was a bad partner acting in bad faith, thumbing their nose at the conference and its members, and orchestrating legal maneuvers against the wishes of the conference and its members.
The university presidents seem frustrated at having a bad partner and want that known.
