You're argument is equivalent of saying that Drew Brees sucks balls because he threw some interceptions in a few games. So over hyped that fricker.

No one has ever claimed that Kareem Jackson was God's gift to football, therefore Kareem Jackson was not over hyped. As for the Champ Bailey comparison - Champ led the SEC in interceptions, so that doesn't equate.

Besides, I am not saying he sucks, he is good. However his play is not as good as he is hyped to be. I didn't realize that pointing this out made me a ignorant imbecile dumb poster all around douche fricking idiot immature flamer. Sounds like some of you are a little to emotionally attached to Patrick Petrson's reputation.

You are an idiot if youre calling Patrick Peterson, a very solid cornerback,a player that NEVER lived up to the hype after just his SOPHOMORE season.

In the NFL he has gone through stints where you don't hear his name because teams refuse to throw his way.

Actually, no. I can say this because he has not lived up to the hype. Or are you saying that he has? That he is an All World CB, that he has displayed this on the field?

I agree, he is good. But he hasn't lived up to the hype. Which is what the OP stated as his criteria. If you can't read and comprehend that then you are stupid.

He's started at DB in his true freshman year. He's dominant and athletically a freak. He shuts down his side of the field. Besides, he did the wind-mill.

He's lived up to the hype and he's still got a year to play before he goes top-10 overall. He cramped up against Alabama before a game changing play that should have been called back for a block in the back.. and he got burned against PSU. That's about it though.

No. I am not saying that he is all-world. I am, however, criticizing YOU for putting PP's name on this list when he will just be a junior this year. Equally contradicting is the fact that you KNOW PP is a good football player and a good corner; i think you just are trying to get under people's skin with this.

Look, how would you feel if I said that Julio is waaaay overrated? It's the same logic.

Sorry for using big words Let me break that down for you..

He's very-very-very good and shuts down WRs.

More like saying Trent Richardson is overrated. Julio is overrated.. Trent is probably underrated.

I'm sorry but I have to agree, Peterson is a one of a kind. Corners with that size, speed, and ability do not grow on trees. Peterson is not over hyped at all, take the crimson shades off buddy.

It is the same logic, and I agree that Julio, while very good, is overated compared to the hype he has recieved. So has Patrick Peterson, it's exactly the same!!

And contrary to what you think I am not saying this to hurt anyone's feelings. But if this really gets under your skin then you probably have other emotional issues that may require therapy. Stop projecting them on me for my astute understanding of the OP's question.

He shuts them down except for when he gets burned deep for touchdowns. Right?

Haha. Yeah, one poster spouting off that Patrick Peterson never lives up to his hype really has me down in the dumps

You are one of a kind, buddy

ESPN All American first teamer. ESPN + almost everyone else disagrees with you about peterson being over hyped. I wonder if your opinion of him has anything to do with you being a Bama fan.

Peterson is dominant. I would want him to start for Auburn over any corner in the country next year. I have never ever heard him compared realistically to Deion Sanders.

any corner who can hold the top 2 WR(green, jones)in the conference to 3 catches with no touchdowns is an elite player

Oh please. Who knew that pointing out, with statistics, that those who claim PP is the best CB are over hyping his achievments would cause such an over the top emotional reaction? Some of you need to get a grip.

And a pre-season All American award is further proof of the hype he recieves. He has yet to play at that level, in fact, he was not even All SEC last season. What does me being an Alabama fan have to do with these facts?
