Seems like his boat is start to sink in Minnesota. I could be wrong, but seems like the type of guy you love in the beginning, but get sick of after a year or so.

Minnesota finished with their best record since 1904 just last year, and they gave him a fat raise and extension.

Wasn't that similar to Ed Orgeron? Then both suck this past year!

Minn has won 4 or 5 NCs, with four 8-0 seasons in the 30s and 40s included. 2019 was 11-2, most wins, not best record.

He's a shtick and only works on certain levels. Western Michigan and Minnesota, yes. In the SEC? He'd be overwhelmed quickly.

Not sure why any Vols fan would want him. He's Butch Jones on steroids. He's a walking catch-phrase.

I wouldn't want him in the SEC because seeing in an interview or him talk once or twice a year is already too much.

And his lost his OC this year. Would rather have a guy who isn’t reliant on having an elite OC to compete. You screw that hire up and you’re done.

Is this the thread where delusional Tennessee fans act like their program is too good for a solid coach?

At this point, if Coach Duggs expressed interest, you better open up the wallet and be thankful.

Yes. VOLS fans would nitpick if Belichick, Andy Reid, or McVay would be up for their job.

He’s a good coach, not confident that he’d be very good in the SEC. Sure, he beat Auburn in a bowl a year ago, but who doesn’t beat Auburn in bowl games?

We aren’t getting the guy who says the greatest influence on his life has been Greg Schiano. You can tell jimmy is in town with all the shite candidates circling.

Personally, I’d prefer Frost to Fleck. I think Frost has the higher upside, he’s just stuck in a dying program.

In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if White has designs on hiring Frost all along.

Frost is hemorrhaging losses and it's Nebraska's fault? This dude must come with a boatload of no-fault insurance. Frost is getting his backside handed to him regularly by very average B1G teams. That in itself may make him a natural at Tennessee, but only if you want him to finish what the last 4 vol coaches started.

Yeah. He's been there 3 years and they have looked pretty bad in some of those losses. I know Covid has made a mess but they have not shown improvement. That is on Frost.

Apples and oranges but should it not read what Dave Hart started?

Some of you guys are acting like UT has a list of big name coaches to choose from. These guys just fired half their coaching staff with cause for cheating and forced their AD to retire. The NCAA is about to go in dry. They’ll be extremely lucky to be able to hire a coordinator as their head coach. Hiring someone like Fleck at this juncture would be an outrageously good pull for them.

Who cares if he’s a walking catch phrase? Can he keep them from going winless at any point over the next few years? Because that’s what they’re about to be looking at.

If you like, but the man gave you Rick Barnes. But to minimize everyone's contribution in the AD and BOT would be like reading the reader's digest version of Pride and Prejudice. You miss a lot. Including the plot.

It is easier to recruit better players to UCF than New-Braska in this day and time.

It will more than likely be the coordinator route unless the lure of money is too much for a head coach to pass up.

The AD has been the root of the problem.

If the AD being corrected is the only positive out of the current fiasco, it is a win.

Football is not going to be “fixed” in the short term under any circumstances.

Having the proper foundation will get the program back to a competitive level.

Just hard to single out Hart. Hamilton was bad, Currie was a victim of framed mischief by the nefarious one, Mr. Cloak and Dagger himself, Fat Phil. In 3 short seasons, he managed to gum the whole thing up good. Comedy of errors has brought you to these badlands.
