You couldn't melt and pour Booby Stoops into an SEC HC job. He's extremely adverse to arse whippings.

Gus will pull something out of his arse and beat Georgia and/or Alabama

Saban would stomp his dick. PJ’s cliches would wear thin in Auburn.

I think this might be more likely than Fleck. I'm surprised Stoops has stayed out this long.

That would be an interesting dynamic, though. Saban and Stoops are very close friends, and have often assisted and advised each other.

Fleck is a great coach, but he's an upper midwest guy at heart. He'll probably be at Michigan instead of Auburn. Plus, there are still a lot of bible thumpers in Auburn who might balk at Fleck's wife leaving him for banging his car salesman while she was home with their three small kids.

Meh.

We won't fire Gus this year anyway, so I say Arkansas or Mississippi State or someone should go ahead and hire Bill Clark and let him get some on the job training for a season or two with y'all until Auburn is ready to call him home

Things have ramped up, and I have no clue who might be the HC at AU next year, but I have got wind that there is a good chance that it won't be Coach Gus Rainman. Its not just a pissed off fanbase reaction either. TIFWIW

He’s my favorite coach.
When we hired Coach Fisher, I wanted Fleck.
Were that to happen, I would be very happy (and envious) for Auburn.

Even when the news from a LSU fans is positive for Auburn you’re still a prick.

Bc it's not news. He read things that were posted on the Auburn board yesterday and is trying to pretend like he knows people

Between Bear and Saban bama was the definition of mediocre except 92. Had a losing record to Auburn. Why did you tolerate it?

I'm not. I certainly don't have any 1st hand knowledge, but I do have a tidbit of info from one who has a track record of being right way more than he has been wrong. So, take it for what its worth: Certain wealthy boosters have seen enough and engaged in getting further support to pay the buyout. The booster that is responsible for this ridiculous mess,is putting up resistance because he is all up Rainmans butt, and worth in excess of a billion $'s. Thats it as far as anything that I know.
