I am 100% not condoning it but it wouldn't shock me if someone were to come after him when he gets off with almost nothing. Rod and Paula were loved by all and not everyone has the patience to wait for him to kill someone else.

WTF! Tried? We have to try to get a dumbass, entitled piece of shits bond revoked? tfrick?

Um, yes, tried. The court, not the DA or law enforcement sets and grants bonds. When the person messes up, the DA has to ask the court to revoke his bond. The Lee county DA did that with this tPOS twice.

You’re either trolling or seriously have no idea about the roles in our court system. The ability of a police chief to influence any judge is all but nil. The ability to influence a retired circuit judge is nonexistent. If LE wants to tilt a case, their chance to do it happens before it gets in the courtroom.

Once there, it becomes the realm of the attorneys. This kid is represented by Tommy Spina who is a high profile defense attorney was once a municipal judge in the Birmingham area. That’s the kind of advantage money buys that helps you win cases.

The DA as also badly hurt by the fact local judges recused and a retired judge was named to hear the case. Far too often they’re more interested in making it go away so they can get back to the golf course and lake house than they are in properly doing one of the very few things required of them as part of getting some of the highest judicial pensions in the US.

God damn it. It sickens me your thought process leads you down this road, and that I honestly see how a lawyer or trans activist will use it in our legal system.

he wont last long as his habits will catch up to him. He will be caught speeding or something and violate some form of his probation or whatever he is on.

If you don't think the good Ole boy wealthy system is not play here you are sadly clueless. This well connected family has pulled every string in the to get this killer off the hook.

In cases everyday no bond is granted due to the fact the judge believes the person is a danger to the public which this guy is.

The judge was a retired circuit judge out of Dothan, you dipshit. This isn’t local. If anything, more auburn people want to see this punk off the streets.

People in this thread assuming there had to be some sort of good ole boy network shenanigans clearly don't have a lot of experience with trial court judges.

Well, I worked in the system for 18 years so I’d say my clues are pretty solid.

And where did I say influence can’t play a role? You keep harping in the police in general and/or the chief. Again, the fact that you think they have influence at the circuit court level shows how clueless you are to the workings of the Alabama court system.

Relationships among the attorneys involved can certainly play a role in the system, but the police chief? Calling a judge about a case is a really good way to find yourself fired.

You are just ignorant of how dirty the court system is and set up for the rich to win.

Al.com and other news sources stated from the start his family has close connections with the local police. The police and court system work together not separate companies like you talk about.

Most of these local small town or small county court systems are run about like Boss Hogg in dukes of hazzard the buddy system.

I know of 2 white kids who came from a lot of wealth that were involved in similar incidents and were not spared at all in sentencing. Both spent multiple years in prison. This is on the judge. Right is right wrong is wrong

This guy has been a judge all over south Alabama. Yes Auburn people want to see him fry. But the average Auburn fan does not have the local clout or influence this family has. Their far reaching corrupt influence has tainted the common sense of the court system.
Can you guarantee us nothing in a backroom was not hatched between all parties involved?

Which is disgusting.

If this was a one-off and the kid got scared straight and is on the righteous path now, fine, don’t ruin his life. But this little fa**ot is still out there drinking and driving like an idiot so he clearly needs some harsh justice in his life. Why wait until he kills someone else? Because he WILL kill someone else eventually.
