My point is that:
A. It wasn’t his car, so how the hell was he supposed to see weed 1/2 the size of a penny
B. You could pick up that much weed on the bottom of your shoe by walking through a park.

This is 100% Patrick's fault. He needs to be like most sane people and should have done a full end to end inspection of a car to look for traces of weed before getting a ride from his friend.

If you live in a state that it is not decriminalized then it is still illegal. Regardless of how you feel about it. The law is the law. If he wants to smoke the stuff then move to the other "half' where it is legal. Or write and call your legislatures.
