Guess the photo is copyrighted, so could only post a link to the article. History repeats itself. Picture is of Georgia Tech fans in the stands wearing masks.

Then why are hospital personnel required to wear them?

To prevent them from accidentally spitting on patients.

You should be asking, "why in the eff did he spell Flu (f-l-u-e) at the age of 18"?

A kid I understand, a grown arse 18 year old, no excuse

Now that I think of it, he spelled Flu (f-l-u-e), but he spelled pandemic perfectly

Damn, why did he spell Tech (T-e-c-k)

Maybe he was drinking his whiskey clear, and he was a ramblin', gamblin', helluva Engineer

WTF?

If you ever have to listen to someone’s chest who either didn’t take a bath or brush their teeth, you would know.

H1N1 was novel then and was a very potent killer. Its main victims were 20-40 years old, its mortality rate was 10-30% and it killed 50-100 million people. COVID-19 is a bad chest cold by comparison.

While this is true...you would be a fool not to try to mitigate the chances.....
