He should have at least been with a smoking hot broad. I'm so let down. The man in my dream job has "failed miserably" today.

Exactly. That's a huge screw up. He went out with a whimper. The bitch.

*I hope he's out.

I guess I am getting soft in my old age....dude shouldn't be fired. He screwed up and drove while impaired, it's not like he raped a 4 year old. And before anybody gets on their high horse and does the "drunk driving kills" routine, I would venture to guess that the vast majority of rant posters have been this stupid at least once.

Hey, I drove drunk all over Tuscaloosa yesterday, but I'm not the AD at UGA either.

Fair point. I just don't view this as a legitimate firing offense.

I respect your opinion, but have to agree to disagree. IMO, if Michael Adams does not fire him, then we're a joke.

It's funny, my brother is a UGA grad and he wants to keep him, thinks he's good for the University ect ect.

Sometimes people make mistakes, if they are worth saving as employees/people, you cut them some slack and give them another chance.

I don't think he's necessarily a bad AD. Far from it probably. But we don't know anything about him outside of financial obligation right now. His only real hire has been Mark Fox, which looks good today, but thats really the only thing he's ever done that's not financially related....and he would take a complete idiot to dismantle the UGA athletics gold mine.

This wasn't a "mistake", it was a lack of character. If you lead the pack you are held to a higher standard.

I agree. I'm all for second chances but UGA can't afford to give him that second chance IMO. In this kind of setting, where he has to be a representative of something much larger than he is, he has to be held to at least the standard of obeying the law. It is such a public job that you can not have people representing you that don't follow simple laws, especially laws that are intended to prevent harm to innocent people.

This doesn't even speak to the issue of the girl that was with him. If this is an affair (which I would have a hard time believing it would be anything but an adulterous affair), this also shows a lack of character and personal responsibility for his wife and kids.

Exactly. He's a state public official. Anyone in government or a public position should be held to a higher standard. Bama learned it's lesson the hard way on this issue. He should be gone.

I hear Ray Goff is avail.

Weren't most UGA fans pretty sick of this chump already?

Way to screw up a dream job for some ugly arse bitch.
