Could Alabama be the 2019 Offseason Champs?

I think so.

Phil Steele isn't as good as Flex Moore's predictions.

I think they'll let two SEC teams in, but I'm not sure it will be the loser from the SEC Championship game. That game is too close to the playoffs and almost like a play-in game. The second team would have to be a one loss SEC team that didn't make the playoffs and lost early enough in the year for people to want a rematch.

i agree

I disagree. UGA lost two games last year including the SECCG and was still the first team out with plenty of people lobbying for them to get in. A one loss SEC Runner-Up is IN

Michigan should be in, but I don't trust them under Harbaugh. They still haven't beat Ohio State under him. I would think Oklahoma, Washington, or Ohio State would get that last spot

Their schedule is not that intimidating. Their toughest game is Texas. I see Oklahoma getting that 4th spot in place of Michigan.

lol, we had a less than 0% chance of getting in. Talking heads were only trying to pump us up for clicks and views and there was really no reason not to considering it was literally impossible for us to have a made it. No 2 loss non-conf champ has a prayer when you've got 3 undefeateds and a 1-loss P5 champ.

Over 3 other teams that have 1 or 0 losses that did win their conference?

Everyone already knows, if it is possible, the media will manipulate The playoffs to face Tua and Hurts against one another, and Fields and Fromm against one another. Think about the "drama". Oh gosh, I'm cringing thinking about hearing it a billion times, even though the games would both be fantastic. Lol

This is demonstrably false.

UCF was undefeated for two seasons yet we were still ranked ahead of them. Also the Big-12 winner OSU was a 1-loss P-5 Champion and we were ranked over them.

If it wasn't for Oklahoma avenging their only loss in their championship game we would have been selected.

ok

because they're a joke team in a joke league, notice I said "power 5", which ucf is not...

what? I assume you mean OU? And you realize they actually did make the playoffs right?

but...but they did do that. That's why they went, they were a 1 loss P5 champ. That's literally what I'm saying.

I meant B10. That was my bad.

All I am disputing is that there was a legitimate argument between us and Oklahoma. To say we had "less than a 0% chance" is just pessimistic

Understood, no problem, but that point doesn't really mean anything that we were "ranked ahead of them", neither of us made the playoffs.

but I don't think you can dispute that, I don't think there's any argument that there was a legit case for us over them. We had 2 losses, they had 1. We did not win our conference, they did. The only loss on their schedule they got a rematch and ended up beating that team. There is nothing you can point to that would suggest we were more deserving than them. And as such they were the ones that did make it, not us. So I don't see how you can say there was anything above a 0% chance.

Strength of Schedule and Strength of Wins(I think they call this something different) both favored us heavily.

Over OU and ND.

Those were the arguments that all the pundits were using.

This is really pointless because I don't mean to say we had a great chance but there was a small chance.

Just bored at work over here

Alabama ... defense .... They only lost five draft picks this year. That’s light for that side of the ball.

Kind of an outrageous statement if you think about it.

Barring an injury or a bad post-Bonnaroo acid trip for Trevor Lawrence, Clemson is winning either the next 2 or 3 national championships. Y'all can all check back in '21 or '22.
