This is why I don't read him. The first 500 pages are old correct predoctions. The next 500 is a laughable pile of garbage.

Steele is about as knowledgeable as they come but he must have some insider info others don't...I'm really not buying this list.

If Chris Rix, Fabian Walker, Wyatt Sexton, Drew Weatherford, Xavier Lee, Adrian McPherson, Christian Ponder, EJ Manuel can finally live up to the hype, maybe they have a chance at doing something... but ranking them number 1 is ridiculous.

+1
For someone so knowledgable he sure as hell is wrong a lot more than he is right. Just because you put out a book with 1,000 pages doesn't mean you have a clue.

Oregon is pretty high considering they lost their QB and star RB and a few players off of their defense. Also, I know Arkansas lost BMFP, but they are still really talented.

Oregon lost very little defense. Most lists have Oregon finishing better than Steele.

FSU has recruited well the last 3 years. They loaded with talent but had a lot of injuries last season. Wouldn't be surprised to see them with the ACCC this season. LSU would be my pick though. I think Mett will get it done on offense to the extent that fans will wonder why Miles didn't play him last season.

these are how he predicts the teams will finish, not really who he thinks is the best team

he has UNC at 13 in these rankings but 30 in his power ranking, point is FlaSt is probably #1 here cause he thinks they have the easiest road

Preseason # 1 rankings = kiss of death usually. The girls school has struggled in a weak azz conference for years now...Wake, Clemson, UNC, Virginia and others keep taking their lunch money.

lol FSU almost always recruits well. I've been hearing about them being "back" though since the Chris Rix days.

With a first year head coach? No.

There are a few others that I seriously question but I'm too lazy to go on.

Phil was on Bo's show in NWA the other day and said their 3rd team dline would be his 25th rated line in the nation, 2nd team would be 10th. I chuckled

1, 6, 7, 10, 11, 13, 15, 20, 21, and 27 are all jokes. This can't be real. Although Tennessee at 27 is lenient, should be more like 30.
