It's a moot point because Mr. Pedant only asked "Who said it was a phantom hold?"
So citing examples from Tiger Rant was a 100% valid response that fully answered his question.
Now he's focusing on Funky's response rather than the perfectly valid response to his original question.

Looks like a hold from the stills. Bama had some of those on Milroe's runs too. They should have all been called.

True, but these are the sort of holds that get called. Refs never call the obvious inside grabs that happen on every play in every game every week.

It was one really the only blatant missed call I had a problem with.
Missed calls happen all the time in the trenches, it's hard to complain about that as it's hard to see what's going on there most of the time.

bullshite, he was dragged down by the back of his jersey and then slung forward into another Alabama player, you can see him being pulled down and back in the image.
It was absolutely a textbook horsecollar, not that it ended up mattering anyway.
