I thought we tracked down the other day that it was a Mizzou person who ran the blog? It was originally some Mizzou poster posting links to it at first.

Maybe, haven't been on here as much but it clearly has a Mizzou angle so it wouldn't make sense for a hog fan to run it

Peyton has always complained even back in his playing days here. He certainly was not a fan of his coach Houston Nutt.

He could have done better here, that was the problem. The worm started to turn on him when he underachieved with the 03 team that was loaded but went 0 for October and missed out on a BCS level season. That was a 10 win team but Nutt made sure that defeat was imminent.
Then he got the two year pass and started becoming more arrogant and mouthy. That was his downfall.

I can't find the link now, but many years ago there was a reporter/blogger that went thru combine prep to see how intense it was. He was at a facility with Hillis and other notable players from that draft class.
I don't remember all the details but he basically summed up Hillis as being a naturally gifted athlete but probably didn't have the most dedicated work ethic.

Nutt wasn't even qualified to be the coach. Tommy Tuberville had the job but Nutt ran his mouth and the dumbasses on the hill got swindled by the con artist.

I'm surprised he hasn't been in prison yet. A lot of former players of the Nutt era have been in the big house.

Nutt should have been fired for mishandling that situation. I remember he was in hot water after a three game losing streak and key players transferring at the end of the 06 season. Apparently the powers were upset a bout the ordeal and the only reason he wasn't fired is because they couldn't justify firing a coach that won the West.
Rumors were floating that he was looking for a job during the off season.
I know for a fact that he talked with Ole Miss in August of 07. Then accepted the job long before it was made public.

No he was not. He knew it and bought a lot of time with Matt Jones and Darren McFadden. Without those two, he is looking at the most six years here.

This. He wasn't perfect or even a great coach but the irrational hatred people hold for him needs to be let go.
Every time a thread about SECCG appearances gets started the same people are more than happy to use ours as ammo against schools that don't have one and he was the coach that got us there.
Same folks wanna talk about what a trash human being he was for all the texts to the reporter but are more than happy to suck Petrinos dick.
