Saban wouldn't leave Bama is a pretty solid argument.

Saban is challenge driven, he loves the turn-around. Some guys get bored once the job is done.

In all seriousness, it's either Malzahn or Richt.

Source just twitted that it was Dooley.

Well, not Dooley, but his mother made a phone call on his behalf.

What about Franklin? Is that too much of a stretch pick for PSU? I think it's Joker...

Probably, UGA's Grantham, he has had feelers from other schools on being a HC and I think he has been on the lookout as well

It's not Richt. No way he touches that situation. Malzhan maybe, but I would think Penn State wants a current HC.

I dont see Penn State hiring an assistant. They would go after a head coach.

This is pretty close, but I would say rather than getting bored it's more that his ego can't be stroked enough once he's reached the original goal. He absolutely loves the can't lose situation of trying to rebuild a once proud football program that has hit rock bottom. See LSU and Bama. PSU fits that mold.

It's tough to guess who it is. We really don't even have a great source that this is true.

Petrino just finished his 4th season without an SECCG appearance and by all indications will have an uphill battle on his hands getting there next year.
