Ark fans who don't think he is going to be fired are naive about the seriousness of fricking a subordinate in the workplace. one that was apparently a student when the relationship began at that.

suspended for 1 year, he will appeal to the arkansas board of trustees.
the suspension will stand, he will write a book and sue the university for defarmation and loss of income.

I say he is fired. The whole leave due to investigation ordeal is to fire him without owing him a crap load of money.

I think the personnel issue takes it out of the AD's hands. It was bad enough to have an "inappropriate relationship" with her when she worked for the Foundation, but he had just hired her on 3/28 to direct the recruiting process for the football program! Same day HR posted the job, indicating all who applied before 4/27 would be given due consideration.
So, he messes with HR on the hire, and on promoting his side-piece to a job where he'd be her boss. That opens the University and maybe the state to major legal liability. His actions likely violate his contract in several ways, and maybe federal employment law. I'm not sure they have a choice other than to fire him.

Bigger issues at play for the university than just football. They have only one play in the deal, and that is to cut ties..

I'm surprised at how reasonable some of them are being.
But yeah....the only reason he hasn't been fired yet is the fact that the school's attorneys haven't given them the green light to do it yet. Once they are completely sure he can't sue them for wrongful termination, he's done.
