It is an issue of tradition going back to before 1990 when WMS was actually a larger/better stadium than DWRRS... (we didn't even have lights up their until 1990)
The number of games has been reduced over the years, but no AD has had the balls to pull all the games out (nor will they anytime soon)...

Because a segment of our fan base is too stupid/lazy/poor/drunk to drive their asses to Fayetteville.

Scalping (selling tickets above face value) is illegal in Arkansas, and that law is enforced during football season.
However, you will find a butt load of people selling tickets below face at that game (for the previously mentioned reasons).
