QB's are supposed to be leaders of a football team. Not all SEC quarterbacks can set examples both on the field and off like Tyler Wilson. I'm glad for LSU's sake that they don't have to play Jefferson anymore. Thugs gonna thug

So funny when people are this affected on this board that they seek out posters on page 11 of a Petrino thread to try to soften the blow of something that obviously pissed you off from forever ago.

What a fricking tool.

Yep, Wilson is a better role model than JJ. No argument here.

You're really comparing a 22 year old college kid who's there for a scholarship to a 51 year major college coach who brings home over 3 mil a year? REALLY?

he's a football coach not a saint. If he's winning then that's all that should matter. His personal life isn't my business.

He had a strong tradition what with Mallet and Matt Jones carrying the banner for Arkansas, right?

Yet growing up we all bitched about Barry and Tarkanian.

I ultimately feel we keep him. If it were me I would do a four game suspension, even knowing that includes the bama game. I think a two game suspension of the two cupcakes doesn't send a that strong of a message.

Anything below termination is sending a weak message. Can you imagine if this happened with say Ford with Mullaley or some crap. he would have been terminated in a heart beat for his actions and he single handidly brought that company back. He slept with the soon to be wife of one of his assistant coaches after hiring her to a job over other candidates. he exposed Ark to millions of dollars in lawsuits and embarassed the AD after he lied to him.

There are boosters who are very pleased with him but have said they'll pull their money if he stays.

I don't see how you can keep him, how is he going to punish a player? If I were a player I'd tell him to F off.

LSU fired a very successful women's basketball coach on just allegations of improper conduct. Took a big hit financially to do it too.

you are correct. Auburn really sent a strong message to Newton when they sat him down when they found out that his dad was trying to go to schools to solicit money from them and that you would not tolerate a player whose dad is trying to pimp him out for hundreds of thousands of dollars

oh wait. shut the fvck up.

Come on.

Given that Jordan Jefferson out passed Tyler Wilson and then out rushed (on one play for a TD) the entire Arkansas team ...I guess you are glad he graduated.

Not surprising. I would have been shocked if he had gotten fired over this. The only thing he did wrong, as far as his job is concerned, was give the girl the job and lie in the beginning. I don't think that him having an affair should be grounds for firing him. Although I agree that he is a POS, it shouldn't be the Athletic Department's place to fire him. Let his wife deal with that.

I have absolutely no respect for the man, but IMO, he shouldn't lose his job over this.
