We can thank Texas for fricking everything up for the rest of us. If they had just been anything other than the greedy pieces of shite they are, all of this realignment mess never happens.
I think we're all in agreement here...unless you're Big12 Fan

The only reason aTm was added was the Texas TV market. Let's be honest...If there was one opening in the SEC and it was between aTm and Texas, and Texas wasn't the douche bags they are, who do you think would get the invite? Don't kid yourself.

We're devastated.

But Texas is and will always be the douchebags they are, so the point is moot.

Should've never expanded the first time in 92. Could have a 9 game setup where everyone plays each other by now, but no.

We're the older, bigger school in Texas. Y'all got a good deal.

Yeah, that whole conference championship thing worked out horribly for the conference. SEC was killing it before expansion.

I doubt he actually thinks that. But it is a very quick way to rustle 4 fanbases' jimmies.

It would still be us. The higher ups at Texas still think the SEC is "beneath them".

I wish I could just tell you to STFU and that would be the end of it, but unfortunately, this mindset never leaves many neanderthals living in SEC lands. I sense hurt in your tone, tell me where did the bad man touch you

Literally the only bad thing about conference expansion has been the way the conference has delayed on fixing the scheduling. If they'd just go to nine games and give us a good rotation so it won't be forever and a day in-between my Tigers getting to kick every Eastern program's arse, everything would be wonderful.

Yea they should have never allowed Arkansas and Missouri in.
Deal with it, Johnny Football come lately. You're lucky we let you in. We beat you more often than not. Get over it.

Texas would never be an option in the SEC unless they were willing to be equal with the entire conference, despite what LSU fans say, the SEC is a fair league to all teams

Wait, we're a top ten team, we're initiating construction on the SEC's largest venue, we have fans with gobs of money, we just produced a Heisman winner and three other All-Americans, and we had arguably the greatest offense in SEC history last year ...
... yet we're diluting the SEC.
No.
That's not dilution. That's your arse bleeding all over the OP.
But you live on the "wrong" side of the Mississippi and that's all that matters to these idiots.

My point is, the SEC would never take Texas because of the greedy bastards they are...but...if that wasn't the case, and it was between Texas and aTm, it wouldn't have been aTm that was invited.
...and don't lump me in with the idiots who think that the SEC is out to get LSU...those people are another breed in themselves...
The SEC expanded for tv markets...period...we all know that...

The SEC is the strongest, most stable conference in the country. If expansion did anything it reinforced that by knocking the Big 12 down a notch (the only conference that was even close).
Thamel wishes the SEC was diluted.

That sucks, even though current students at any SEC school weren't alive when Arky was in the SWC. I think they're mostly saying it to get under our skin.
Gee, ya think?

True, there's only three conferences that can't have teams lured from them, and the SEC is certainly the strongest of those three by a long shot.
Hell, the SEC even got the Big Ten's presumptive member forcing them to go after even weirder teams than Missouri in the SEC.
