To pay Texas and OU exit fees and then will recoup the additional $ + $5m in 2022. It’s really not that hard folks.

So we are paying them to join our conference? Shouldn’t it be the other way around?

We are. I'm assuming this is just compensation for us.

Not when we are going to be bringing every other school an extra 5 million.

Why pay when you can have others pay for you?

Might not be needed. Still have time for the big 12 to die.

Just sit back and watch

I highly doubt that happens. After the covid season, many programs need money now . Helping OU and UC-Austin is probably not a priority as long as they're locked up.

Wouldn't surprise me at all. They always figure out how to get rich at everyone else's expense.

Bullchit!

Someone run NPV and ROI calc on...

<$75mln> Texas/OU Big 12 penalty each
+$15mln Annual value SEC > Big 12 each (CAGR +10% 20yrs)

F'n great investment by them!

SEC subsidizes and better get chit load more out of them!

The current teams shouldn't give up a penny to have them break contract. They can work out a long term deal with the conference plus interest, but it shouldn't be charity.
