Percentage of in-state/out-of-state students at SEC Schools?

There are now more OOS kids at Alabama than in-state kids. Pretty wild.
What about other schools?

Our OOS numbers are probably the lowest in the SEC I would guess. Maybe like 5%

Ole Miss is the king of OOS students.

LSU has VERY low tuition rates for OOS students. I think it may even be lower than the cost of in-state tuition in Texas.

Ole Miss is 59% in-state. This year's freshman class is 48%. Texas, Tennessee, and Georgia in that order.

are legacy students the only one who can get in, for the most part?

Yea, tons of Metro ATL kids who can't get into UGA take the Ole Miss/Alabama/Auburn/Clemson route.

Don't Texas and Texas A&M have the quota system for each county/school district requiring admission for a certain score or % of students?
I know UVA has that to make sure every in-state kid isn't from Fairfax County.

I don't think so. I knew three out of state kids and only one was a legacy. I think it's extremely tough to get into engineering or business school though from OOS

LSU is upping the number of out of state recruiters, so look for LSU's numbers to rise soon.

Yeah we have the top 10% rule. Kids get auto admitted if you're in the top 10% so both schools aren't 100% kids from Houston and DFW suburbs. It doesn't guarantee admission to a specific major though I'm pretty sure.
I think you can still also get auto admit to A&M if you're top 25% and get a 1300 on Verbal/math

Even that is tough. My bro is a legacy and didn't get in. Here we have this absurd top 10% rule which compells the state unis to accept these kids no matter what, which floods a&m and tu. So the overwhelming majority of students are top 10%, even from crappy schools.

Not sure of the percentage (and too lazy to look it up) but Arkansas gets a lot of OOS students from DFW Metro, Tulsa, Springfield\Joplin\KC.

Right, so same concept as the Virginia law.

UF's are pretty low to if my memory is correct.
The number I saw last year for LSU was around 65% with a crap ton of Texans and a handful from other nearby states.
ETA: ATL Metro was well represented at LSU in my time as well.

That's the biggest headscratcher.

I knew that, thats why I assumed the oos students needed something in order to get in, like legacy.
