It would be epic, but it's not Petrino. I think Petrino stays until 2017. I think 2017 is when his buyout becomes manageable.
ETA: 2017 is when his contract ends. His buyout in 2015 is still $10.8M.

To you. But airing laundry with the media can be problematic for administration types.

Even though I don't consider him "high profile"...I would say Mullen...
After all he already quit on his team once during the LSU game...and he has realized how far below the standard his team is and how hard it will be to get them over that hump...

Mullen should have known going into that job

If it's not Joker, Richt or Nutt, then this has to be the right answer.

COLUMBIA — South Carolina's Steve Spurrier was expected to receive a raise and a contract extension at Friday's meeting of the university's board.
The raise came. The extension did not.
That, athletic director Eric Hyman said, was strictly the Ball Coach's decision and not any sort of message on the board's behalf.
“We asked Steve what he wanted,” Hyman said, “and this is what he wanted.”
quote:
Spurrier turns 66 on Wednesday, and the lack of extension does at least raise eyebrows regarding his future in coaching.
“It would not have been a problem one way or the other,” Hyman said of the extension. “This is what he asked. We just tried to meet his expectations.”
He later added: “Don't read too much into this.”
quote:
Spurrier has characteristically said he would like to stay another “three or four years,” though that window seems to stay open because of his good health and vigor for the job. Hyman did not speculate about Spurrier's timetable for retirement, but he did not indicate that the deal was any sort of symbol in that regard.
Hmm...

I don't think many ad's and coaches have a better relationship than Dan and the AD.

wow, you are one dumb frick. we're two plays from being 6-2 right now. We're not far from moving up a notch. It's too soon to tell what Mullen will do.

I don't think answering a direct question with an honest answer is "airing dirty laundry" by any means.

How long did he NEED? Our history in the sport of football is literally mediocre, and that's mostly due to things that needed to change substantially. Those things take decades. Give him decades, as far as I'm concerned.

Dissastified? Yes, totally, but not with Spurrier. We're mostly unhappy about things we can't control (injured players, suspensions, etc)

He says don't read too much into it for a reason. It's sort of a personal goal with him, IMO. He's not leaving this year. Not even a thought in his mind, I don't think.

Exactly. LSU's closest game and lowest offensive production was against State.
The cowbell ringers are effin awesome!
They will win the BCS Moral Victory Championship this year!
Seriously though, Mullen isn't going to quit. He might take a better job but dude isn't going to up and quit and it won't be because of the AD at State. Pretty sure State will let Mullen do whatever he damn well pleases so long as he doesn't leave their beloved State.

Not Nutt-to much money owed
Not Dooley- wouldn't step away from an SEC job and downgrade
Not Richt- Possibly going 10-2 and playing for the East
Not Mullen- Don't see him leaving the SEC and downgrading.
Winner- Spurrier retiring.
