I’m sure Auburn has a new shiny banner commemorating the 32 point victory over a 16-17 Arkansas team in Bud Walton.
Again, beating Auburn isn’t a big deal to Arkansas considering our massive winning record over you. The storming was due to beating #1.
Arkansas hardly ever storms the court. Bud Walton during big games is packed with fans and energy. It’s a high probability fans are gonna storm it. Auburn fans wouldn’t know anything about that because y’all don’t win big games nor have an arena like Bud Walton.
We'll hang the SEC tournament banner.

ONE game. ONE game. And Auburn fans run with it like it’s the Super Bowl. Meanwhile, they forget that Auburn has an overall losing record to Arkansas.
And a recent Final Four. And multiple SEC regular season and tournament trophies. Arkansas? 0.

Always good to play good teams pre-conference. It allows you to see who can play under pressure.
Of course, schedules are made in advance. I think we were invited to Maui again last summer for this fall. It looks like a top notch field to me.
Hard to guess who might be better than expected or who might falter.
The schedule is the schedule. Some of it is not in your control.
I’d like to see some combination of Alabama, Auburn, Troy, UAB, Samford, Jacksonville State, and South Alabama put together some sort of preseason event hosted in Birmingham, Huntsville or Montgomery, or Mobile just to show off how much better the basketball is now in the state.

Arkansas vs Duke in Bud Walton was a prime time game on ESPN nationally televised.
That says more about Duke than anything. We remember when yall rushed the court after beating Auburn.

Tennessee has played in it multiple times as well as very difficult OOC games. It isn’t that big of an issue

Agree, would be a good move. Alabama, Auburn and UAB vs the 3 best other teams in a Saturday triple header would be great.
UAB vs Jacksonville State
Alabama vs Samford
Auburn vs Troy

Oh look Auburn trying to do everything Bama does. They were fine playing Belmont, Winthrop and the obscure Indianas of the world. Now they want to beef up their schedule, play games in Birmingham and Huntsville too.

You really wanna count Final Fours as an Auburn fan? Trust me, you’ll lose.

How does it say more about Duke? It’s Duke. And everyone knew Arkansas vs Duke would be a huge game with great ratings in a packed Bud Walton, which is one of the top places to play in college basketball.
I’m sure you Auburn fans do remember, considering y’all have hardly ever been good at basketball.

These are not bad teams.
Indiana was the last men’s college team to go undefeated in 1976 and won two more NC since.
I’m not sure why people are trying to make this a beef. Every team has some input into their schedule, but unless your a Duke, Kentucky, UNC or Kansas you probably don’t get your first choice of every possible game.
I’d like to see Auburn go to play San Diego St, University of San Diego, and UCLA on a SoCal trip. I’d enjoy Marquette at Milwaukee and Wisconsin GB. Make the early season have some fun road trips.

WTF, we played Duke and Arizona in Maui back in 2018. Y’all were still playing nobodies with Avery Johnson as your head coach.
Oh, and we also played UAB that season… you know, the team you’ve been too scared to schedule for your entire existence.

I would like to see this, too. Would be great for the state and the host cities. However, uat won't do it because they might have to play UAB and a loss to UAB would be a huge embarrassment. Plus, they would have to acknowledge that UAB actually fields sports teams after their bot shut UAB football down for a while.
It's why they've never scheduled them while we have.

I think Auburn should do the following for OOC scheduling:
One major November Tournament (Maui, Atlantis, Vegas, Brooklyn, etc)…. That’s either 2-3 games.
Rotating home-and-home with UAB (but with UAB home game at Legacy).
Rotating home-and-home with Georgia Tech.
One additional big OOC game played each season, preferably at a neutral site.
The remaining should be Quad 2-3 opponents played at home.
So the following:
1- Major Preseason Tournament opp.
1- Major Preseason Tournament opp.
1- Major Preseason Tournament opp.
1- UAB
1- Georgia Tech
1- high Quad 1 opponent at neutral site
Fill the remaining 7 games out with Quad 2/3 opponents at home.

How is the arena coming along? Little Brother need to loan big brother money?
In 1980 JHS increased to 72,169 with west upper deck expansion and the first to have lighting in the state.1987 east upper increased to 85,214. 2004 to 87,451. Currently just over 88,000.
By comparison BDS had wooden bleachers and was too embarrassed to play in T-town during this time frame. It was not until 2006 that BDS surpass JHS in attendance costing millions upon millions yet only seat 12,000 more at this time.
Subtract 1980 from 2006 and 2010 from 2024. You can use your toes to count. Nobody is looking.
Dare I mention 1989?
