He'll be back, way too good to retire so young. Probably just wants to rest and get away from the dumpster fire 49ers.

The 1 year I did a Def Player Fantasy Football League, I had WIllis on my roster. He was a MONSTER and a big reason I won the league that year.

I hope he's ok, he could still play for several years.

Anytime there's one of the "name your favorite player from another school" threads he and Deuce are the first names I think of. Loved watching him play, and I hope he decides to come back out of retirement.

Good for him. He made more money than I'll ever hope to make in my lifetime, and he gets to stay healthier than most in the profession

Hope so. He's always been a favorite. Got the job done and nothing more

This play is one of my favorites:

Just saw that and came on here to post. Is it injury reasons?

I think we start to see more and more players retire 'early' with all of the health issues that are becoming more apparent. If you make it through a few contracts, and have been smart with your money, then why not?

PW loves fishing more than football. Dude will probably be hosting a fishing show on the Outdoor Network by the end of the month

I would imagine injuries. He's on the brink of the HoF...I'm sure it wasn't an overnight decision.

Sorry that tackle was against my team, but that is how you tackle someone!! Willis seems like a good guy.

I remember Jack Cristil saying "I wonder how many tackles he'd have, if he didn't have that cast on his hand?"
