But if Notre Dame gets in over 10-2 SEC teams thats just horse crap.

There is no way possible that Notre Dame doesn’t get in at 10-2. Even if one 10-2 team went it would be Notre Dame. Nobody gets favoritism like them.

ND is the reason why the playoffs went to 12 teams instead of 8 teams.

The networks will decide where and when they can make the most money and strong arm the CFP committee to do their biding.

The CFP committee needs to live up to what it said it would consider re: SOS and quality wins. If they do so, the SEC will get four teams in: the two who play in Atlanta, and the two with the best records after that. Note that it's possible that one of the teams that gets to Atlanta may actually have a worse record than one left out. The league is that strong.

I see A & M, 'Bama, Georgia and Ole Miss getting in if they all hold serve. Vandy is a possibility if they can beat Texas and Tennessee.

There might not be a single 2 loss team in the field this year. The sec's big 5 could all have 1 or fewer loses. There likely won't be a two loss team out of Indiana, Ohio state, and Oregon. The big 12 and acc could both have multiple teams with 1 or 0 losses. There might not be room for notre dame this year. Notre Dame won't get in over an sec or big 10 conference championship game loser if that team does have 2 losses.

Here are the remaining schedules:

A&M-Mizzou, South Carolina, Sanford, Texas
Vandy-Texas, Auburn, Kentucky, Tennessee
Bama-LSU, Oklahoma, Eastern KY, Auburn
Georgia-Florida, Miss State, Texas, Charlotte, Georgia Tech
Ole Miss-South Carolina, Citadel, Florida, Miss State

So it's at least possible that all of those 5 teams win out as they don't play each other. Georgia probably has the toughest road followed by Vandy, then A&M, then Bama, then Ole Miss. I don't see an 11-1 SEC team being left out. I also don't see a 2 loss A&M, Bama, or Georgia being left out. Ole Miss and Vandy feel like the 2 most likely to get cut with a loss (fair or not).

we also need USC to lose - the stronger the look, the better case ND has

USC has a pretty difficult road to end the season.

They are at Nebraska
They have IOWA at home
Then go to Oregon. They also have e a home game against NW which should be an easy win.

Why? I don’t even think the Big 12 deserves one playoff team.

Texas, likewise, can play spoiler in the SEC.

I think so too. You never know how a game like that can catapult a team. Arch Manning was noticeably calmer in the 2nd half. Almost as if you saw everything “click” for him. They have the talent to beat anyone including A&M. 3 tough games left but 2 of them are at home.

Pay attention to Pitt. They have a dangerous, under the radar good team and they still play Notre Dame and Miami at home and Ga Tech on the road. They can shake the playoff picture up.

Yeah. They’re sneaky

We may be heading for a pseudo playoff game between 9-2 Tennessee and 9-2 Vandy

getting 4 teams in is an absolutely dominant performance. So many things would have to break perfectly for 5, I just don't think it's possible

i could see 2-3 teams at 10-2 arguing over that last spot easily
