If you were in NOLA on New Year's Eve in the French Quarter (for Ole Miss or just for fun), this news broadcast and message is for you:
Plea on TV News
The smallest detail may help police. So if you or someone you know (Ole Miss fan, Oklahoma State fan, New Year's Eve reveler, etc.) was in the French Quarter New Year's Eve, forward the video link to them. The Crimestoppers link is at the end of each story.

On New Year’s Day, 28-year-old Josh Woodruff was trying to hail down an Uber in the French Quarter in New Orleans. As he was in the crosswalk, he was hit by a black sedan. Authorities say Woodruff was dragged for six miles and left for dead in the street. Now, his family is asking for help solving the crime. The Woodruffs said they wonder if somebody in the French Quarter took a picture of the car.

“We’re particularly interested now in people from Mississippi or Oklahoma who may have been there for the Sugar Bowl and they may have a video or photo for some other reason- if it’s at the right time, about 3:10 a.m. on New Year’s Day and in the French Quarter, and a black Toyota Cary or sedan in the video – that would be useful,” said Mark.

Holy shite. I hope they catch the motherfricker who did this and do the same thing to them. That's beyond awful.

How tf did he get hit and stuck on the car for 6 miles. That seems almost impossible.

I was in that area but didn't see anything. Hopefully they find the piece of shite responsible and send him to Angola.

Not if you've got a fricked up driver and a guy completely under the car

That is horrible. There are some awful people in the world who don't need to be here. I hope they find the guilty parties and they get justice swift and hard.

I think I had already left the Quarter by then, but really hope they find the POS. Still can't believe he got dragged all the way to Algiers.

Even if you had already left by then, please check your cameras or phones. That car may have been parked behind you before the drivers ever showed up. You just never, never know. You could have taken a random selfie and the thing is parked behind you.
Black, 4-door Toyota Camry (they think) with tinted windows. Like the guys mom said in the video, any small piece of a plate (the state, a letter or number, anything) could help.

Anything could be the item that breaks this case. Just... damn.
I know I take my shots at LSU but New Orleans is really the home of the SEC. I have nieces and nephews that are at the age they are going down to Sugar Bowls (whether Arkansas is there or not)... I'd sleep a lot easier if this d-bag was found.

It blows my mind that this guy was dragged for 6 miles through the Quarter all the way to Algiers. The Quarter is damn near impossible to drive without having to stop many, many times on a normal weekend. But it's typical of people that have info to not snitch out of fear of their life around here, sadly.

There is no reason that every inch of the French Quarter should not be covered by video surveillance ... every inch of it.
If anywhere in this country deserved to be under constant video surveillance it is most of NOLA but especially the French Quarter.

I agree about the FQ, but that's pushing it about NOLA. It's still bad crime-wise, but it's mainly murders of people who were involved in the drug trade or something related. Do incidents involving innocents happen? Of course. But it's no different than most big cities.

There has got to be some more surveillance video that has this car on it.
