Yeah Oxford has great bars... Not only that, they are generous enough to let you stay until 12!

That's mighty white of them.

Yea, if you drink in Oxford it's got to be in a cup or it gets poured out like your on a high school field trip. Also the bars close at 12 or 1, and some of the bigger ones like to charge a $20 cover. It's absurd.

I've been to Oxford before and it was an absolute blast. I'm between T-Town and Auburn since I've already been to Oxford, but if you go you won't be disappointed.

Just out of curiousity, what do you have to compare Oxford to? Have you been anywhere else in the SEC? I'm sure Oxford is a blast when compared to Lubbock or Manhatten, KS, Ames, IA, or well you get the idea.

I like Tuscaloosa's stadium a lot better too, especially since the upgrade...

Well yea. One is probably the nicest in the country and the other is pretty nice to, when compared to high school stadiums.

I've also been to Baton Rouge and Nashville (different experience I know) on game day in the SEC, and Norman and Austin (not SEC but large fan bases). Beirut is better than fricking Lubbock or Waco so I wasn't really comparing Oxford to that, more to BR, Norman and Austin. BR was also a lot of fun but a much different type of experience than Oxford.

I never got the Oxford allure. It's a glorified HS stadium, over-rated pic-nic tailgate w/finger sandwichs and chicken tenders, pissed on Gestapo cops, Greek-life zealots, and awesome bars that close at midnight. They don't even sell cold beer at the stores. And don't forget the "beautiful women" myth. I just don't get it.

Oxford.

The bama fans are excellent on game day. Very nice Saturday.

But the rest of the year there mentality will make you think you are still around the entitled Longhorns.

Oxford. Ole Piss has got the best tailgating in the country. I have more fun there than I do in T-town and I'm a twice grad from Bama and grew up there.

I've been to Tuscaloosa, vandy, auburn, Tennessee, Kentucky, Florida, lsu, ole miss, and msu. The only place worse than oxford is starkville and maybe Lexington. The grove was terrible. I like to be able to move around when I tailgate. I went to oxford in 09. I think ole miss was ranked at the time. So don't give me the "we were terrible at the time" speech.

But your women wear jeans and hoodies and do keg stands. Ours are a little more respectable.

I've been to Tuscaloosa on gameday (didn't go to the game). The atmosphere is pretty cool. Ole Miss will always be my 2nd home and I always have a great time when I get a chance to go.

The other SEC towns/games I've been to are:

Auburn
Florida
Arkansas

In that order, is the fun I had at those places.

That is correct

Ole Miss does have a large number of beautiful women.

It sucks that they can't all be slores like the chicks from LSU

Ask yourself....

The place that invented tailgating or the place that invented football?

That outta do it.
