Schiano ran the defense. Grinch just had a co-defensive coordinator title. He did a damn good job at WASU.

Didn’t strike out. Grinch didn’t call the plays for Ohio state. According to Riley Grinch was the top of the list. And OU never talked to golding(which I think is dumb). I would have rather seen him go for Golding but grinch is proven at rebuilding a defense already and will be able to turn OU into a respectable defense. That’s really all Riley needs. Now the sec has to prepare for a 1000lb gorilla coming out of the big 12. Aggies are still a pathetic irrelevant program.

I’m not crapping in the hire. I don’t know him either way but what is a HC supposed to say we tried two other candidates who turned us down and this was the first guy to accept?

I thought OU was getting Golding? I seem to remember a bunch of OU trolls shouting done deal! And Grinch is decent. Certainly better than any DC in the BDF, whatever THAT is actually worth

Really surprised he moved to be a DC somewhere, but I guess running the ship without Greg Schiano at a playoff contender is worth it. I know his family a bit from their time at Mizzou and both he and his wife have tons of family in Ohio and loved it there, so genuinely surprised he's leaving for a non-head coaching job. Good for him, bad for the rest of the Big 12.
