they are saying he’s back by Texas now so don’t get to happy lol
I’d prefer that. The reality is that he won’t be 100%. The thumb injury definitely won’t help his accuracy, and he’s already an inaccurate QB.

Dude, nobody is happy over this, put your shirt back on.
It just is what it is, and we roll with the punches. I wish Mateer a speedy recovery because I was interested to see what all he accomplishes this year.
But meanwhile, Texas gonna skullfrick dat OU arse!!

You don't want to play with a thumb injury, trust me. Let it heal. One pop to the helmet and that sucker will be worse off than it started.

Maybe Mateer comes back to OU next year now.

Speak for yourself. I love to play OU when their QB is hurt.
49-0
34-3
Kicking the shite out of them is always fun.
That being said, I do hope he gets better soon. Injuries suck.

I dunno, he has looked really solid. Compare that to Arch, Nuss, Klubnick etc.
Bet he goes

Injuries happen. Texas has lost 5 star rbs back to back years and it’s killed our natty chances.
Sucks and I personally want our d to go against Mateer

Obligatory “part of the game.” Get well soon.

Michael Hawkins Jr. He played quite a bit last year, but this is a killer for us. We'll get by Kent State, but Texas will put it on us the next week.
Different OC and better defense. Can't imagine Arch lighting up OU's D unless Hawkins turns it over a ton.

If he’s close to being able to play they’ll push him in the RRS imo.
