Looks like what they did with Norvell after his good season at FSU and now they are in a world of trouble with the projected cost of firing him and hiring another coach.

Jimmy Sexton does Jimmy Sexton things to dumbass admins who can't seem to realize they're bidding against themselves.

Yep if they had any sense the answer to whether other top teams would be after your coach can be found out just by looking at fan message boards. People knew that QB was mostly responsible for those 2 good years FSU had.

I'm pretty sure 0U fans were dogging Mizzou last year for Drink's extension. I'm laughing as I type this.

This is going to be the norm going forward for a lot of programs. People are going to have to readjust expectations especially with a 9 game conference schedule and having to schedule a P4 opponent. 9-3, 8-4 isn’t going to get a lot of coaches fired anymore.

Consistency at the top of your program is going to be really important in counteracting the portal and NIL to truly establish a culture that can sustain roster overhauls each and every year.

That’s part of the reason Kiffin was so successful here because we had very little staff turnover and anyone that was brought in, coaches or players, had to fit into his culture and system.
