A&M should be in the playoffs

P5 team with 1 loss that didn’t win its division or conference in over:
Undefeated P5conference championship winners
Undefeated non P5 conference champs
1 loss P5 conference champs
1 loss P5 conference championship game loser

7 other teams were more worthy than TAMU. TAMU had a very good season and should be proud of what they were able to do. Please don’t confuse that with being screwed by the playoff committee. You were not. You didn’t earn the shot (undefeated P5 conference championship) and you were behind a couple teams that were given a slot.

It’s just the latest example of a system that was fundamentally fricked up before covid... every major conference is responsible and the SEC as much as anyone.

Everyone knows OSU is one of the few teams buying players on a widespread national level, hence their invite to the money games.

Why do teams like UNC, Ole Miss, Tenner and others end up with investigations when everyone knows who’s throwing the real money around?

Since it’s a joke and my team isn’t involved... let’s see OSU win this thing and enjoy the Clemson/Bama fan bases losing their minds... said by many football watchers across the country.

Almost as entertaining in train wreck fashion will be the media spin to justify it all.

Will the committee EVER be able to keep a team out due to a weak schedule again?

I can confidently say OSU just made it with the weakest schedule that will ever make it.

2017 Bama is relieved.

17 bama only made the playoffs bc ohio state had 2 losses, one of which was the most embarrassing of the season.

So kind of like A&M losing an extra game and losing by four touchdowns.

Can't stand Dabo or the ACC.

Don't care who it is, but I hope he gets crushed again this year.

A lot of people hope they upset both Bama and Clemson.

Will you say they belong then?

Truth is talent-wise they do... what happens during the season (whatever it looks like) hasn’t been as important as how many televisions a team brings to the party for some time now.

Or maybe they (and Alabama and Clemson) show a clear path for players to reach their goals in and after college. Saying they are buying players is just a bullshite excuse for the inadequacies of your own program.

Right dumbass.

Football players from around the country flock to Columbus, OH to help them reach their goals after college.

Did you lick the lead paint or chew the lead pencil. Which is it dumbfrick.

Talent-wise so does Georgia. But their schedule caught up with them. For some mysterious reason, that didn't happen in Columbus.

No. I commend the CFP committee for keeping them out. OSU not being deserving doesn’t mean they automatically are.

Ah, resort to name calling because you don’t or can’t make a valid argument.

ETA: why don’t you explain what programs are in place at your university for guys to succeed after football if they don’t make the NFL which is almost a certainty at your school?

I can only imagine the absolute freak out if both Ohio State and Notre Dame somehow end up winning

I hope Trey Sermon gains 400 yards and kicks Dabo in the nuts.

I mean columbus is a capital city of over a million people. It’s the only growing area of Ohio and has tons of economic prospects.

Bitch about OSU being in all you want but this is an awful argument. Columbus is a real city with economic opportunities. So of course people want to be there

Has nothing to do with how players around the country make it to OSU.

I spend a week in Columbus every year (except this one) for work.
When from OH and your alternatives are Cleveland, Cincinnati and Akron... then Columbus looks appealing.

See. That’s the problem. A school that does the minimum for their athletes.

Real Life Wednesday at Ohio State

Parents (and many recruits) love this program. If a kid doesn’t make it or had a career ending injury this program gives him inroads to opportunities in life after football or even after the NFL.
