They recognized that modern cfb is a game of dollars and cents, and they decided to outspend everyone.
Simple as that.
Is it gross? Sure
Does it signal the end of cfb as we always knew it to be? Of course
But this is the game now. It's become a semi-pro league, and it's all about sponsorships, agents, and contracts now.
Let's hope that legislation can fix this sport before it becomes a hollow parody of its former self

Texas has as much money as anyone. tOSU had a great team and bought some great playes that are finally playing up to their potential.
