The game will be like their game against Washington. It will be relatively ugly on both sides, Oregon will have chances to win but Auburn will eventually out-talent them, and in the end we will learn nothing about either team relative to the rest of their respective leagues.

I'm high on Auburn this year. I think they'll win this game fairly easily.

You would have to have an astonishingly putrid DL for our OL to be much much better.

5 returning senior OL our not, that OL was hot garbage last season.

That and we are an injury away at either OT from an absolute disaster.

I would have a hard time believing Oregons DL to be so bad that you would consider Auburns OL much much better.

I was being facetious. I think Auburn probably wins but some of the takes here are ignorant.

I want Auburn to win, but they're playing strength on strength with the Oregon O-Line, and Oregon has an enormous QB advantage with solid skill position players.

If I thought Auburn could score 30 I'd pick them, but I don't see them scoring over 21.

. . .I'd also pick them if I didn't see a couple of turnovers from Nix, which will almost surely happen if they have to air it out to keep up with Oregon.

Oregon 27-17.

Don’t know about that. First game. True freshman QB. I’m not expecting a really high scoring game.

Auburn comes out on fire and gets up by a couple touchdowns (21-7) heading into the half.

In the 3rd quarter, Oregon starts chipping away at the lead thanks to their half time adjustments and Malzahn’s insistence on running the ball 11 times in a row on first down.

With 5 minutes to go in the game, Oregon goes up 23-21. Auburn drives down to the Oregon 33 and stalls. Carlson misses a 50 yarder. Oregon scores again to make it 30-21. Finally with the game out of reach and virtually no offense the entire half by Auburn, Malzahn finally sends Gatewood in to run the power read 6 times in a row. Oregon will be in a prevent defense allowing us to pick up 70 rushing yards in this last minute bringing Auburn’s rushing total to 200 yards.

After the game, Malzahn will say something to the effect of “ hey if you look at the bright side we had some success running the ball.” And point to the 200 yards rushing we had.

If Oregon names Steven Jones as the starting right guard, I might give the edge to Oregon.

I'm leaning towards Oregon. New qb for Auburn. Would take Auburn later in the year after he has had more snaps.

Its going to be a great game.

Just as you guys arent the same Oregon team as 2010, we are not the same Auburn team either.

I just wish we would do a home and home with you guys. That way my auburn people would believe me about JUST HOW LOUD Autzen is, and my wife and son could watch Oregon play in Auburn in front of 90+ thousand people. They are both "from" eugene (thus my screen name) and would likely e pulling for Oregon in a sea of Orange and Blue.

As neurotic as Auburn is and with a true frosh qb, you’d be shocked?

This is the correct take.
