If you had to say one way or another, would you say that Alabama is cheating or are 5*s simply willing to sit the bench for 2-3 years at Bama?

I'd say yes, they are. Nobody... NOBODY racks up 7 straight number 1 recruiting classes where elite players would happily ride the pine, or gets consistent "missed" calls during games, and players having charges mysteriously dropped without doing something shady. Too many Dodge Chargers rolling around Tuscaloosa for me to think there's not something going on.

What say you? Is Alabama doing everything they're doing legitimately or do the rumors have legs?

What rumors?

And no, Alabama doesn't cheat any more than LSU, Ohio St., Michigan or Tenn does.

They win the damn championship every year and are consistently #1 in polls all year. They don't need to cheat to get players to come and play for the best coach in football history and best team

Winning is contagious. They'll have the pick of the litter for a while. It's going to take some dumb recruiting mistakes and some poor players costing games before they start to lose.

Well. They hold every play. But that's not cheating. It's on the refs to call it, and if they're not calling it, then keep on keeping on.

"Does Alabama cheat?" is not an opinion question. "Is Alabama better at cheating than everyone else?" is an opinion question.

Prior to Saban's dynasty, yes.

Now, no. No need to cheat. Product on the field and getting people to the league gets it done.

Ever notice how when a thread is created here that has a question mark at the end of it, the answer is almost always "no"?

They probably cheat, but I bet most college programs do. I don't think their success is due to cheating.
