Baseball America has them at #2 but the actual rankings have them at #9.

No, one major poll has them at #9 and another major poll has them at #2.

How many SEC teams have finished top 4 in all 3 since WWII? I know Arkansas and Florida have. Not sure about others?

South Carolina has ... all three. All three this decade for that matter. All four if you count women's basketball.

Aggy didn't even make it to the College World Series that year (Ben McDonald, LSU fans?).

That poll is a pile of shite.

Then I guess you won't be claiming 1970 for Texas anymore in football since y'all lost to Notre Dame in the Cotton and Nebraska got the AP. Can't have it both ways.

Except Baseball America doesn't present a national championship trophy.

The UPI (the former coaches poll) most certainly did.

Plus, baseball has an NCAA-sanctioned playoff.

The poll awarded Texas the NC before the game.

Texas claims AP and Coaches (UPI) National Championships.

LSU too, they finished #3 in the Coaches poll in basketball their last Final Four year.

I would have guessed LSU, but wasn't sure about basketball. Looking back, they also finished top 4 in the '80 and '81 seasons.

Mizzou has. Football in 1960 and 2007. Baseball a bunch of times between 1952 and 1964. Basketball 2012.

Lose 1 game all season, win the conference, and beat Oklahoma in a bowl, not even top 5
only the AP

I distinctly recall what TEXAS baseball coach Cliff Gustafson said after The Longhorns beat New Orleans to advance to the 1989 College World Series...

"Where are the aggies now?"

Aggy has multiple meat judging national titles, though.
