12. South Carolina. Absolutely putrid offense.
13. Missouri. Absolutely putrid defense.
14. Vanderbilt. If Missouri and South Carolina had a baby, they’d name it Vandy.

Seems pretty consistent with the general feelings here, I think.

Alabama. "I don’t think this year’s version of the Tide is that much less talented than last year’s so much as it’s not as well coached."

We lost 6 players in the first round!! We tied an NFL record..this team has potential but to say its not much less talented is a very idiotic take. Our talent now is young and hasn't been developed..Next year will be a very talented team. I can agree on the coaching though.. Golding is still Golding which is bad..and BOB is no Sark. but you don't just replace Jones, Waddle, Najee, D.Smith.. then we lost Leatherwood and Dickerson on the O-line. We had 10 players drafted and 9 the year before. Sure we replace talent..but with the number of Juniors leaving the last few years it will take a year to develop them. Last years team would have destroyed this years team, it wouldn't even be a game.

Thanks for the link. I had forgotten about that blog.

GTP, EDSBS, Braves and Birds, and although it was a Tennessee blog, Losers With Socks were my staples of internet consumption 15 years ago.

8. Tennessee. After taking a 14-7 lead, does being outscored 45-10 the rest of the way count as a moral victory? Asking for a friend…

Mizzou will beat SCjr. It will be a terrible game, but Mizzou will win. Book it

South Carolina fans deserve a better team.

I wouldn't leave out the human factor. BAMA is the reigning and defending national champion of college football. Ultimate success breeds complacency and that is mostly what has been going on.

Repeating is tough and we've managed it only once in the coach Saban era. The greatest motivation in the world is when you are hungry. Any sport, any person.

And yet, there would be just as many Bama fans saying it's idiotic to think you're not the most talented team in the country as to say you're close to last year. Ya just can't win.

The post was about the last three teams. Thought it was funny. The link was to give him credit for it.

Well, you haven't needed it for over a decade it seems. Honestly, you could make a good argument you were the best or second best team every year since 2010.

Sure we have. You are watching from an emotional distance and emotions are what we're discussing. You can't quantify the human spirit in any life endeavor.

When you are beaten, there is anger, disappointment, and often hunger that keeps the fires stoked. No amount of coaching can duplicate what that does for players every day in practice and game time.

The human factor.

At this point Missouri is 12 and we should be 14a with Vandy 14b.

Anything is possible.

You guys could have beaten OU, but you dropped the ball there, huh?

Also, how did you not fill your high school stadium when you were offering free admission? Maybe you guys should stick to basketball.

They got bailed out by the big 12 refs and everyone knows it.

Not sure why you’re jeering at the effort, Missouri would’ve let them run the ball all the way to the West Coast.

Hopefully we will be decent in 2025 when you finally have the stones to play us again.
