They have big NIL budgets as well. Coaches and not recruiters who coach is the future.

Oh, I agree!! Going forward it will be more about coaching and front-office management and player development. Recruiting prowess is the past. If players are going to eventually have contracts they will dead serious about going places to play, get coached up and be developed

I was really rooting for y'all this year. Hard to explain the destruction you laid on UGA and then those 3 upset losses.

It was a relatively bad QB year for the conference above all.

This is one of the biggest reasons for poor postseason performance.

Sellers had a bad game. The A&M QB looked like a freshman in his game. Milroe looked like Bad Milroe. Iamaleava struggled.

The worst SEC performances were QB driven.

I don’t think this is true.

Michigan’s coach won’t be there in a couple years.

Bielema isn’t some amazing coaching talent.

Ferentz is only learning about the forward pass this year.

All this talking is an overreaction.

Michigan's coach went 8-5 and beat Ohio State and Bama with no QB. Now he has a QB coming in who many think is a generational talent along with a veteran NFL DC. And, his team improved as the season went on. That's says a lot to me.

Bielema was always a solid coach but he wasn't going to outbid Bama and LSU for players in the old SEC West.

Not an overreaction. I have been saying this since last season.

A lot of that is due to coaching. DeBoer wouldn't bench Milroe. If not for money Nico would've had to sit a series or two to get him together. The A&M QB is a redshirt freshman I believe.

Milroe in his last 3 games had 4 fumbles and 5 ints, he wasn't benched, and you tell me coaching isn't an issue?!

SEC - friends, players coach, old PE coach, can’t offend anyone anymore, win with talent -
Big 10 - coach, business, team, do your job, win with brains

This may be an unpopular view.

Tennessee clearly spent a ton of NIL money on David Sanders who is a 5 star offensive tackle.

I believe the money is better spent on an established offensive lineman via the transfer portal. You get a proven player at the position opposed to someone you have to develop for a year or two.

You counting a W over SMU as a big game? OK.

I think Kiffin is pound for pound the best coach in the SEC. Yes, better than Kirby.

It's an unpopular view but it's clearly becoming the reality. And, I especially feel this way about the QB position. Most QBs, even 5 star QBs, need time to develop but at Power 2 programs you have to win now so more mature and accomplished transfer players are more valuable. Look at Auburn. They have Deuce Knight and Jackson Arnold. I doubt seriously both of them will be at Auburn after next season. And, Auburn has paid to get both of these guys for likely no more than a season. I think that's poor roster management.
