Why would you lie about that?

Improved, yes but certainly not rebuilt.

Carolina had 5 key defensive players just taken in the NFL draft -

picks 35 - 41 - 49 - 125 - 135 - Safety - DT - LB - Edge - DT -

there are key pieces to replace -

12th is too high for USC until it's known what kind of defense Clayton White can put on the field this fall - 20th to 25th seems more in line with the questions yet to be answered -

Where did you read this? The only thing he said is that the doctors found it to be "slow aggressive" so there is no need for surgery yet.

I don't keep up with Hugh. I do know that he is a very trustworthy man.

“I’m only 55. We’re a family of faith, and I just didn’t feel like it was time to rush into surgery. I'm at peace with it."Freeze shared with ESPN’s Chris Low.

I do see Auburn getting back to normal this season. Their upcoming 7-5 or 8-4 record will have Barners dancing in the streets and chirping about next season.

From a talent standpoint it’s the most talent we’ve had since 2019. It’s a rebuilt roster from the dark days of what Harsin was left with from Gus’ poor recruiting and then what Harsin left Freeze with.

Fair enough but that doesn't say he's putting it off due to his faith.

“In consultation with the doctors that we’re dealing with, they think that if mentally I can handle waking up at night knowing you have something in you that you don’t want in you, they don’t feel like I have to be in a hurry to do something,” Freeze said.

Yes. Also the law of averages will eventually work out in Auburn’s favor.

From the Iron Bowl of 2023 through the Missouri game of last season, Auburn went 2-7 during a 9-game stretch, and if we had caught a few breaks instead of having the ball bounce the wrong way every time, we could have easily gone 7-2 instead.

Eventually we’ll catch some breaks.

Then why say it? It's certainly just as fair to ask what he meant. A lot of churchgoers put off serious surgery because they "believe" there's another way.

It's fairly common with prostate cancer to monitor it for eons before doing anything. It tends to be super slow growing in older men but faster in younger men (a younger guy will tend to need treatment sooner because it can get very aggressive the younger you are). Hugh is kinda in between but as long as it's slow growing there's no reason to rush surgery.

A lot of men will die of other causes before their prostate cancer becomes an issue which is the main reason it's a cancer that tends to be watched for a long time.

I've been back in Auburn for a game twice in five years; the 2023 Iron Bowl and last year's Oklahoma game. It took a lot of creativity for us to lose both.

You're being intentionally obtuse. Saying you have faith that something will turn out well does not mean that you won't follow a doctor's recommendation because of your faith. Read the article I linked, or don't. I'm done.

Hard to take any preseason ranking seriously anymore. Teams barely resemble the team from the previous season.

If Hugh Freeze wasn't so vague about his "faith" comment, in relation to his prostate cancer, this would not have come up. Freeze does have a history of saying he's one thing and doing something completely different.
