Nope. My family was one of the 1st 3 white families in Cades Cove. We have been in the area since 1790.

Smoky Mountains are awesome! Spent a lot of summers in Western Carolina growing up. Might look to move there someday but all the yankees have probably messed it up.

Hey, idiot, the sunset in Knoxville on June 20 last year was 8:56pm . Obviously, "like 9pm" was a rough estimate.

You're going to say something like "the daylight is the same length of time so you are wrong". That's not what I said. I said the sun doesn't set until around 9pm in Knoxville. I said nothing about total daylight time or any other city.

My uncle dated her in highschool. She was a band geek at Sevierville County high back them.

In Atlanta the sun doesn’t go down until close to 9pm in the summer. In Nashville it’s 8pm

In Atlanta in the winter the sun goes down at 6:00-6:30pm

In Nashville people leave their office at 5pm and it’s dark. December, January, Feb are depressing in Nashville. Gets dark so early. Rains a lot too.

To be fair, this is actually a problem with Alabama, FL panhandle, and middle Tennessee being CT while everywhere north of them is in ET. Doesn't have to do with the time zone itself but their location within the time zone, but both would benefit from switching imo

Buddy, this was your post:

quote:

Eastern time is great. The sun doesn’t go down til like 9pm in the summer.

Surely you realize that every time zone has places where the "sun goes down" at 9 p.m. or later and it has nothing to do with Eastern Time Zone versus others whatsoever.

Right?

Can you read? I answered all your dumb questions in my other post, above.

Edit: I thought I said “in Knoxville” in my original post. I am in fact the idiot. But I meant to say, the sub doesn’t set til 9 in Knoxville in the summer. I know that is not universal in eastern time.

You did not. In your initial post you used sunset time as an distinguisher for the Eastern time zone.

There's no other way to interpret this moronic post:

quote:

Eastern time is great. The sun doesn’t go down til like 9pm in the summer.

I hate this. With babies and little kids you are trying to get to sleep, and the sun is still playing Surfin' USA through your windows, it sucks.

You know, there is a solution to this. Think the Danes have it pretty well down.

You do realize that happens in every time zone that observes DST - right?
